I watched many vids trying to figure out how to open one of these lock boxes and was getting frustrated by the minute. Your method was the only one that worked and it was so easy to do once I figured out what you meant by "the notch". I made myself a little tool from a soda can, nowhere near as sophisticated as yours but it worked. Great video! Thanks a lot.

Soda can works great actually, typically what I use (I was trying to be fancy and make my own tool here)...glad you found the video helpful and thank you for leaving a comment!

It works, thank you! I was incidentally change code on my Keypod (sports key safe) and locked it. I managed to find this little groove by just piece of paper (small memo sticky note). If to make it gentle and to use several of notes it takes just 5 min - magic. Thank you one more times 🤝

Your video just helped me get back into my lock box after setting a code but the numbers not aligning to what I thought they were! Feeling the notch felt like a ‘click’ as I slid my makeshift tool (a piece of a cider can!) over the barrel. Thank you for you video 😄

Worked great. What helped a lot for me is I took another box that I knew the combo for so I could feel what the notch was supposed to feel like and once I did that I was able to easily find the notch on the box I did not know the combo for. Thanks again.

Awesome, am so glad it worked out good for you! It is honestly harder to explain how to do this one than doing it, once you get the hand of feeling the slots it is pretty straight forward. This actually works for pretty much all Master Lock locks with the 4 dial, just usually the slots end up somewhere in the back to actually open, the trick is line them up across the front, try it, spin each number 1 (so all the slots move together) and continue around until you find the right home for the slots!

What would you recommend, thanks.

There are some smart ones out there like Sentrilock or Supra iBox, even the newer pushbutton ones would likely a step up (the older ones you could just mash all the buttons at once). The higher end ones are more digitally controlled (agent would basically authorize each useage), not that they are not still bypassable, just some random with a chunk tore out of a soda can probably should not get past them (someone with enough determination will always find a way).

@@bounty7219 I don’t know if u were joking about holding down hard on switch, but I tried that just by sound and probably a fluke but got in, in 30 seconds, had to scroll first number just from 0-9 as hard to fit fingers there. Beginners luck.
@bounty72192 жыл бұрын
@@gem934 holding down the switch absolutely works, it just gets tiring on the fingers sometine! I show the other way because if you can apply the concept to this lock you can apply the concept to most other resettable dial locks. Awesome job getting it open!!

What key lock box would you recommend as being harder/hardest to crack?
@bounty72194 жыл бұрын
The Guardian brand key safe was not easily cracked, I personally was able to open it through brute force damage but not able to crack the combination. It is a more of an old school combo lock style (single knob) instead of multi-dial so there is nowhere to probe. In my opinion none are super secure but I would personally pick the one that requires damage to open because then at least you know it was compromised and can take actiom as needed (rekey locks for instance).

Who makes a product that offers the best security for this type of storage?
@bounty72194 жыл бұрын
The Kidde acces point keysafe is one of the better options I have seen, sturdy construction and single dial like an old school combo lock. I have not seen a Kidde with the doorknob hook though. Also I attempted to bypass a Roper Avanti, has the door knob hook, but again single dial, I was unable to bypass without damage to the box (brute force broke it with a hammer).
@navycorpsman92914 жыл бұрын
Bounty 72 Thanks...all to often I watch vids bypassing these locks but no one offers any advise to alternatives to these misrepresented security devices. I’ve payed a heavy price being mislead by the mongrels for profit selling false hopes of security. Again, thank you very much for your quick reply and honest opinion on product advice.
