The argument of they "dehumanizing" ex space nazis by given numbers is bonkers. Here is the thing, there is a difference between telling your boss that equipment set to be recycled is still good and someone might be able to use it, and stealing the equipment and using it yourself. His worry was not that it was simply imperial tech, but that he would have a very hard time convincing anyone that found it in his space that he had a right to use it. I think Bo joining Din's cult makes sense. Bo has lost all her followers and when she went to mandalore, she was reminded that all of her culture has been destroyed. The cult is probably one of the only communities holding onto some semblance of mandalorian culture (even if it is different). Keeping in mind, the cult embraces many of mandalorian mythos like bathing in the waters. With aiding Din in his quest, she was invited into the cult (again, probably the only group left with rich mando culture) and was shown respect. Would be pretty hard to easily toss that invite to the side. I think anyone that has lost their civilization would be open to a familiar community. IMO: I quite liked the episode. Hence why everyone needs to leave before she can do it. Also why would the admiral of the fleet be here? This is a nothing berger for him, he has a ship to run. It would also be weird to see og characters make a big deal out of a very isolated incident.

The characters you mentioned are just a few people in the cog of the machine to borrow from The Bad Batch. I highly doubt they have as much say as we want them to. Though I will be honest and say that I have no idea who the chancellor is now. Anyway, the rebels weren't necessarily any better than the empire in a lot of ways. They maybe didn't do forced labor and sentient experimentation but they were did commit a lot of war crimes plus from what I saw, the main people in charge were fighting to restore the Republic without acknowledging the issues that were there without Palpatine such as the corruption and how it didn't care about anyone but the core worlds or strategic worlds. So, it is kind of believable that the New Republic would be just as stupid as the Old Republic. I'm not happy with it but we are stuck with it due to the new established Disney canon

Really liked the Pershing stuff, but the chase sequence just wasn’t it, like why is every dogfight in these shows just the good guy ship being absolutely swarmed by enemy fighters, like that’s not cool or entertaining, it’s just boring and makes those fighters feel useless, it’s the same with all the v wing encounters in the bad batch, like have 1 or 2 really dangerous fighters attack them or if you wanna do more, have their attacks be coordinated in interesting and engaging ways, instead of just having all of them chase the big ship from the same distance, that kinda swarm approach works in big space battles, where you need larger numbers to do anything at all, like the massive swarm of tie fighters taking off from the shield gate in rogue 1 or in specific cases, like Thrawn’s wall of tie fighters defending Lothal, but having a random number of equally useless fighters just chase one big ship for extended periods of time lining themselves up to be shot down, instead of splitting off trying different tactics or using things like their superior speed to their advantage is just boring and honestly stupid, aside from that it was kind of a fun action sequence, things like that one tie waiting behind to stop mando from getting to his fighter and Bo’s maneuver to finish the last one off we’re cool, but moments like that just can’t carry the entire engagement

I have a theory, but I'm uncertain of it. It feels a little contrived, but it wouldn't be too far off for the series. What if Kane's still following Gideon's orders? It's clearly shown that in the season finale of season 2, that the heroes wipe out everyone on the bridge, I think Gideon even comments on it, so how did Kane escape when she was clearly in the previous scenes moments before they storm the light cruiser? I think it's possible that Gideon's worst enemy wouldn't be the people that brought him in, but his allies that knew what he was doing. Pershing's knowledge of everything they were up to would be detrimental to any plans he might have. So he orders someone he knows he can trust to go undercover and find him, and considering that our heroes stole the very shuttle he was in, it's a good assumption that he'd end up in the new republic's custody. So that's where she goes too. She's obviously been there longer than him, so I imagine it was just a waiting game to see if and when he might finally show up. and what better way to ensure someone's not gonna talk about their plans than to wipe his mind. It ensures he can't talk about them, and she doesn't get in trouble. But again, this theory's pretty far fetched, and I'm grasping at straws, but this is the best I could come up with this early on in the series. I have a feeling this is just leading up to something big, maybe something along the lines of 'they need the doctor but he's a little mind wiped, and so instead they have to go to Gideon for whatever they need.' or something like that. Otherwise, Pershing's mind wipe wouldn't really serve a narrative purpose.

Where Andor had tension and compelling characters; this episode had nothing building, and an obvious betrayal. It definitely would have been better placed in a different show than the Mandalorian, or maybe spread out over more episodes and cut between the different plots. I think the clue to Bo-Katan's decision not to remove her helmet is in the title of this episode - "The Convert". This story features three possible converts: Dr Pershing (learning to integrate into the New Republic); Elia Kane (who makes us wonder whether she is truly a convert to the New Republic); and Bo-Katan (who has seen the mythosaur and is so shaken that she has a sort of epiphany - or conversion - and decides to observe the old ways once more - by not removing her helmet - while she considers what's she's seen). Her conversion comes from the fact that she's just read aloud the ancient texts to Din, sounding as if she thinks they're quaint fables from her childhood, and then watched them come alive before her when she sees the mythosaur. For the full length of this episode, Bo-Katan is not alone (Grogu remains on her ship for the duration of the TIE fighter battle and as they head into hyperspace) so she can't remove her helmet. Since we've seen her only too willing to remove her helmet on multiple occasions, her being "The Convert" makes the only sense for her not removing it now. Of course Din isn't yet aware of this yet, which is why he warns her to keep her helmet on as they approach the Mandalorian settlement. To judge from her voice after they emerge from hyperspace, her whole attitude has subtly changed in this scene too. She no longer sounds as caustic and self-assured as was. When Din mentions they're approaching the convert, she wonders aloud "they follow the old ways" and if you listen, her tone is, uncharacteristically, almost reverent. I think her being the titular "convert" is the only way any of this makes sense, although (ironically) her following "the code" and keeping her helmet on makes it much harder to gauge. 😆 All that said, I totally agree with you about the length of time this episode spends focusing on the Pershing storyline. It felt like it should have been split several episodes, so that Pershing falling for Kane's duplicity takes longer and doesn't make him look so gullible. It also felt a bit weird that we don't see Pershing again this season. Maybe they felt that they didn't have enough material to string the story out over several episodes and so decided to clump it all together into one episode for the title of "The Convert". The problem is that the episode really built Pershing up to be going somewhere, so his absence from the rest of the season leaves us in quite a jarring quandry about whether he's going to appear again, or if his story was just to build up Kane as a future antagonist.
