Me in hell describing my daily meal to the peasant glutton who ate a single crust of Brad more than he should:

Something that makes MasterChef UK so enjoyable is how positive the critics are, even when giving negative feedback. You can feel that they truly love and appreciate food, and the hard work these chefs put in.

I'd say most competition shows are far better in the UK. They don't (as a rule) edit them for interpersonal drama.

A lot of folks say you know if someone's a good chef from how they make their scrambled eggs, but I often find the same to be true about how they make their risotto.

You test a cook with eggs, and a chef with rice. At least that's been my experience!

There are some very skilled clever chefs comng through into the industry....these chefs are kicking some of the chefs with a comfortble seat, right up their behind. It's no bad thing to have your ass kicked. It may be uncomfortable....but it should inspire you to improve your game...or step aside. That is life!!

What a waste of food. Just the lobster, cooked in water and you are done, same for the meat, just cook the meat and eat it. All that extra crap adds absolutely nothing. I once visited a restaurant like this, payed a ridiculous amount of money for nothing, by the time the third dish came around, I was still hungry and walked out.
