I would love a Video, getting additional Information and Attention on First Responder Apps active in the UK/US Like the GoodSAM or other Apps, explaining the importance of registering in these Apps as well as registering your local AEDs, as many people don't know about the importance or the placement of public Defibrillators in their communites. Where are the existing ones and do they even still work? Are they registered in the local First Responder Systems? How efficient are first Responder Systems at providing BLS measures and how do they influence patient outcome? Keep up the good videos.👍🏻

How do we do for on an intubated pt, do we bag the pt

If the patient is on a ventilator and has a cardiac arrest we will disconnect and bag the patient. Continues Chest compressions and 1 breath every 6 seconds. The ventilator might be the reason for the Cardiac arrest and we should consider DOPE: D- Displacement O- Obstruction P- Pneumothorax E- Equipment failure

What is the realistic amount of training in terms of time that you need to learn this

The AHA recommends 3 weeks. It depends also on your experience and if you have completed ACLS previously. So less is possible for experienced clinicians.

Wow we get 8 hours for basic CPR. every 2 years

The course is a 2 day course but preparation to attend is 3 weeks. Doing CPR training every 2 yeara are not optimal. Skills decay after a CPR course is rapid. A system like RQI where staff completes quarterly activities helps to minimise skill decay. Search for RQI on Google or KZbin.
