Something different! We all have bad habits, and one of the easiest ways to overcome them is to recognize that they are a problem. I asked my community to give me a list of things they feel they CONSISTANTLY do wrong. Lets dive in, and see if they are pretty similar to yours.

Another great video Heretic. It’s refreshing to watch a streamer who isn’t going for being “the best” but can be a relatable and fun mid tier mentor. So thank you! In fact I’d love more content that shares cheeky combos or lesser used minions, content that gives me ideas of things to try and will at least get me to fourth place. Because having fun and getting to no.1 are not mutually exclusive

I think this is probably more useful for beginners than trying to understand content put out by the top-ranked guys. You did a great job of breaking down the fundamentals -- which I'm still trying to learn.

Great tips. I have accepted that I will never by higher the 6k because I'm usually doing my charting while playing BGs. BTW would love some videos about the current meta.

Some useful tips there! I'm at about 6,5k mmr and I still sometimes waste resources in temporary buffs against "ghosts", which are usually easy wins! :=)

Good tips friend! Sounds like your chat had some unsavoury types. 8000 mmr is top 4 percent of players, 9k is top 2-3 percent. I think advice from you is just fine. Anything over 7 k is very difficult for most players. Many get hard stuck at around 6500-6800 .

13 k is less than the top 1 percentage t of the best players. If you’re playing at 13 k, you’re essentially a pro, next of the best. Congratulations

@heretic721 thanks for the information and your dedication to the game! You mentioned Jeef, his and yours are the two BG channels that I watch. While some of his have explanations about his thought process, which is good, what I really like about yours is the focus on explanations. While it can be fun to watch a crazy game with huge minions (they even removed Fluidity and Stimulant likely because of some of his shenanigans) each game is different, so it's not as helpful to watch a specific game in play vs the general tips and explanations that you provide. thanks again! By the way, since watching these two channels I have improved by about 1200 points, currently around 6200.

I just want to say thank you. I started watching a few of your videos a couple weeks ago, and this morning, I decided I needed to do more if I wanted to win. I watched this video and the menagerie video, and was able to use some of your tips to finally get my first place!! I was able to grab Captain Sanders (would not have known about him if not for you), and was able to turn all my quillboars golden, generate multiple blood gems per turn, and had them up to adding 10 attack per blood gem. I"m fairly new and definitely casual , currently at 3864.

My favourite game with quests was getting tumbling disaster and mechapony 😂 when I listen to your streams and videos I go up like 300 points. I think I get too rigid trying to focus on my own and get arbitrarily stuck on trying to redo fun games from the past and miss the opportunities as they come

Highest I’ve hit was 7.3k. I basically only play on mobile and I don’t really pay attention to who I’m playing against 99% of the time. I don’t care about what others are building in 99% of circumstances either. I stick to fun picks and just try to make something zany. Battlegrounds is most fun to me that way. Currently chilling at 7048 MMR.

The one I use is from HSreplay.net There is a paid version, and a free. The paid version just gives you the percentages of the heroes in the begining, and access to more data of your games. You in no way need the paid version I have it primarily for my chat.

I also have the problem of getting a character I really like and immediately being overcome with the urge to go to the restroom and miss a few turns 😂

In play on my phone, and when I know APM turns are coming up I log in on my pc to continue. This solves the restroom problem.

On the wall the art is the box art from Everquest, and Ultima online two of my first MMOs! I found some art from Neverwinter Nights Online which was AOL's D&D MMO which was my first, but it was pretty bad so I never used it. I am a MMO junky!

What about forcing a comp when it's incredibly strong though? If I see beasts/quillboar in I am going to pick the hero that best leads into a rylak combo since it's so powerful.

That is always the choice right? Forcing when it is so utterly broken is great if you have most of the combo. Say you have Shudder Rylak, and Felemental. You are going to buff that shop to the moon! Your hero power works for it, and Mechs/Demons are in so you can go nuts with whatever you find. Would I stay with this build? Almost always. But lets say next turn for the sake of extreme examplse I am on five tripple titus into Goldrin, and then find a Hawkstrider..... Now I am staring at the shop going SHIT! Good problem to have, but its decision time. Both Titus/Hawkstrider work my combo, but Goldin is INSTANT crayz power. Am I at 12 health, or 31? Am I fighting the dead guy? Am I at 1 health, and fighting the guy who won his last 10 fights, and the last two for 15 damage? There are a lot of things that can infulence your decision, and make one play far better then the other. No easy answers.

NEVER. Multiple people have made it to top 25 leaderboard with 2 heroes. For the insane crazy players you can F2P the whole way. If you want better odds for fun though, and support the game I always suggest 4 heroes 15$ every four months.

Good tips but right from the start I’m annoyed by the hero choice being so important. Why? I’m not gonna pay to win. Yes that’s my choice… but they should add an F2P path to getting 4 options

This one always gets me off on a rant so I will be quick. I always go four heroes because Battlegrounds is the most played mode, and its pretty easy to figure out making them almost no money. If I can give a little money to keep them impoving the game that I play Dozens of hours a week... then I have to! There are no wrong answers though. There are just opinions, and there sure are lots of them :)
