When to Pivot / Counter in Hearthstone Battlegrounds Back to Basics

Pivoting. I get asked ALL the time. How to do it? When to do it? Should I do it? All these things are hard to answer, but let us dive in with some examples, and show you some pivots/counter plays that can help get you the win!

Ha! Your not wrong. Many people watch the videos over again in sections, and not necessarily in order. People say they go back, and listen to things when they are relevant sometimes. For that reason I tend to say it all as it is useful for many. But yeah trust me I am aware of it, and as someone who plays a lot I sometimes think I remind things too much. Then someone says they have never heard of a combo, or card and decide it is worth it!

Used some of these ideas to scam my way to a 2nd place yesterday after watching the video. Unfortunately sometimes scamming isn’t strong enough to stop a big high roll board but I was amazed I was able to get 2nd.

Mantid Queen is literally a miracle worker. It's frustrating when your epic golden Kaly golden bran board that you worked so hard on to build giant dragons gets crushed by one minion found late game, but when Mantid queen saves you, it feels awesome

I'm struggling with this right now. I was moving along nicely, and now I"m having trouble with wins again, and a lot of it is because I"m not taking advantage of pivoting, and tending to get stuck with my original configuration. And holding on to Gold cards that aren't giving me any benefit any more. And I need to get over the fear that having a Brann (or a similar card) in my hand prevents me from having a high attack card of my chosen tribe.

That's a darkmoon Faire prize. You can get it from spinning the wheel of yogg, or selling the tickatus buddy name "ticket collector" Edit: on second glance, it looks like it could be a spare part, which is also obtainable through darkmoon Faire rewards I think, and there's a quest that gives you 2 spare parts at the start of each turn. Spare part is +5/+5 and a random effect(like reborn, divine shield, or windfury)

I think its the Divine Shield one, there is a quest which gives you a spell with +6/6 and a bonus effect.

I had the Quest Reward Ethereal Evidence which gave me two random quest rewards every turn to choose from. one of the turns I chose Enhance-a-matic which gave me a Blazing Blades spell +5/+5 give a minion Windfurry

Listen, I'm a textbook tunneler and at this point, I've just accepted it. Even when I try to pivot, it's usually too late in the game to do any significant progress lol

Nothing wrong with knowing that is how you enjoy the game. Just keep an eye out, and sometimes.. you might be able to eek out something a LITTLE better :)

After every turn, pivoting success decreases significantly. You also never have any guarantee that the tavern will have the type you're pivoting to. You could refresh 10 times only to get a Tier 1 type and completey waste a turn or two, meanwhile everyone else is building their warband. Pivot early or level your tier as fast as you can. Otherwise make due. You can't win them all, the draw pool is too big and random.

Your point are all right and doing pivot to go to crazy value build like of course murlocs its all right .. but with quests highrolling is taken to another limit .. even if you pivot . If you play good midrange and you build an endgame engine you get higrolled like shit simetimes.

Of course yeah Quests break most things, BUT quests are temporary, and the pivot... it is forever!

@@Heretic721 yes no doubt about it , good content , instead of the gameplay like everybody does you actually straight away teach and that's good
