Let me know if you learned something from this. I know it's quite specific, and more production orientated. But let me know below ❤

Really awesome tutorial! I've been looking for good tutorial for Solaris and rendering out different variations ands shots and this was really helpful! I've a question regarding rendering out the different cameras, I understand that you are using the "Context Options" in the "usd render rop" but I noticed that in your "karmarendersettings" node at 19:53 you don't have the "camera". I'm guessing you went in to the "karmarendersettings" node and made some adjustments? :) maybe you can clarify abit?

All Solaris stuff its very useful, even if it’s specific workflows. We need more workflows and tips with solaris worflows. Maybe would be interesting a tutorial about made dressing and set dressing in solaris , or simulating a profesional workflow with modeling in maya, layout , and then set dressing , look dev and lighting in solaris. Thanks for all

Great video, I would love to see how this setup would look and work using Octane as the render engine.

Pretty neat. Wouldn't mind seeing the example with multiple usd files, so it's closer to production.

@Arvid, I do have the problem that when I submit to deadline for every task a new instance of Houdini is loaded - render - close which causes a huge slow down.. Do you know how to prevent this and rather in one instance? Regards! Thanks for the superb content!

Is it possible to set a on off switch for Disp, bump, DoF in the Context Options?
@arvidurs3 ай бұрын
yeah for sure. it should just be an int value. and then you use the same syntax on those attributes

Vulkan is really good actually. No complaints

Do you still use Redshift? I wish I could switch over to Karma, but I really can't stand the Materialx at its current state.
