How to guide for a timing belt change on a 2005 to 2011 Holden Barina, Daewoo Kalos or Chevrolet Aveo (depending on where you are) with the 1.6L engine. I used a Dayco timing belt kit - KTBA186P. This includes a water pump in the kit which I recommend replacing. This pump has a dust shield which did not work on this engine, however I just cut it off, but you can order the kit with a water pump without the dust shield KTBA86P1.

These are cheap and cheerful cars and where sold in a few markets under different brands, here in Australia it was the Holden Barina, made by Daewoo and overall its a fairly ordinary car. Its old and irrelevant now but I'm sure theres still many people out there running around with these cars.
