Dude, you are a FUCKING LEGEND! I've got a Chaser, been willing to do the swap for 3 years. Bought the gearbox, the domiworks adapter kit, ECUMaster Black and going to order the Lamik very soon. Awesome videos on the Zf 8 speed, mate. What are the use cases for the simulated clutch function? does it work similar to rolling anti lag with more precise control instead of simply on/off?

Thanks mate. The simulated clutch is just to act like a normal clutch. You can program it to engage at any point in the clutch pedal travel. It’s used in drifting for clutch dumping to build rpm quickly, it can be used to launch 🚀 off the line like a normal clutch, it also can be used to do a rolling burn out to warm up tyres before a race etc

Yes you could, but you prob can’t run the trans brake feature. But yes I never use anything else but the paddles

Do you have to shift all the way back to 1st gear when coming to stop?

Nah mate. This is an OEM street gearbox that acts smooth and normal. So if your in 7th gear cruising and come up to a stop, the gearbox will down shift slowly down to 2nd gear. This is in auto mode. Then in manual mode, you can have it to manual up shift and downshift as you please. Completely adjustable to act how you would like it to.

With the DCT shifter, how do you put the 8HP into "Park"?

You may be able to setup a digital switch input to select park if that’s what you feel like you need. Sequential and paddle shifter won’t select park for you, BUT when you first start your car, you are in park, and when you turn off your car it goes directly into park. I don’t see a need to ever want to select park. Selectors will select between R, N, D1-D8.

Ive been recommended to use MAXXecu for my zf8 2jz build. What you think of this?

Yea MAXecu is well setup for the auto swap. You can use any aftermarket ecu with the TurboLamik TCU. I believe you may be able to run just the MAXecu and control everything with ecu only. Helps to keep cost down at the start. Just depends on who is calibrating the setup
