The oil change is actually the most important aspect of this dish. The point of using regular olive oil is that it has a higher smoke point. Your dogs will prefer this as well.

What you do best with this channel is keep it super simple while making great recipes that people with busy lives can enjoy. I don't think you overuse fats and creams to "boost" your recipes like other channels do. You don't brand this channel as a "best you're ever going to eat" but I think the recipes taste great for the amount of effort required by a domestic cook.

That’s the goal. What you see is what you get. No fuss, no clickbait just good tasting food that’s accessible to everyone and any capability. Glad you enjoy it. Thank you 🙏. I will say off camera I pump dishes with fat because that is what creates more flavour but I’m different type of chef on camera 👍

@@ChefJackOvens Some folks have asked me to write one. Latest was my sister-in-law, about all of the recipes I have for chicken wings. My answer was: "If I ever do it, I'd make it a trilogy. And call it "lord of the wings"." But, on somethings more serious: the cookbooks I'm looking for have a specific topic. Like: artichokes. Or: desserts. Or: vietnamese cuisine. I don't really like books like "yummy cooking for every day". Probably even sorted by names of dishes. (I found one of the best apple cakes in such a one under "z": "Zuercher Pfarrhaustorte". So: at least the chapters should lead one to a topic. A book that I'd really like to find would be about just mussels. Never found any. So that would be outstanding from the rest. There are so many. And mussels are consumed around the world. If I had to write a book: that would be my best bet. At least as a project to work on in the background. Greetings from the far north of Germany!

This is definitely not your average greasy spoon takeaway slap steak sandwich. But being an Aussie 🇦🇺 it's just Not a steak sanger without Beetroot! It's a must have or it's going back. Beetroot makes all the difference as it adds sweetness, colour and texture. But this is a very nicely made steak sanger. No doubt with the caramelized onion and wholegrain mustard mayo, there's going to be a lot of flavour. I wouldn't send it back for quids. Cheers 🤤👍😀

Definitely haha I was contemplating beetroot and avocado but decided not to and glad I did because I feel it’s not needed in this. Of course it can be added though
