This video literally saved my life. I HATED the "finished product" of our podcast video because I did NOT know there's a better way to take the separate "raw" recordings (3 hosts) and bring them side by side into one video. I'm definitely going to re-watch and implement the additional tools to bring our video up to snuff.

this was SO helpful! the one other thing i was hoping for was how to seamlessly have a full screen for each person. like if i wanted to jump back and forth from split screen to individual.. If that's even possible, thank you!

You can use our AI layout feature now to go full screen on the active speaker, but we have more options for that coming very soon...stay tuned!

Hey quick question friend, I'm thinking of upgrading my imovie + logic pro X workflow to just having Final Cut Pro, and I'm wondering before I do that, if Final Cut Pro allows the same functionality for audio plugins as Logic Pro X Does. It would be great to just edit video and audio in one place. Are you aware of this? Is Final Cut Pro basically a more advanced video editor than iMovie MEETS Logic Pro X? Thank you! ❤
@Riversidefm Жыл бұрын
Hey! Final Cut does support plugins, such as iZotope (I can access their effects and filters directly in Final Cut), but depending on how much audio post-production you do it may be more cumbersome in Final Cut. I usually add EQ, Compressor, possibly a noise gate, and an plugin or two at most, but all that works great in Final Cut.

If all Riverside files are set to the same length, what's the purpose of the FCPXML option and how do you use it? I can't find information on that anywhere. TIA.

If you did multiple screen shares or played media board files during the recording, exporting via XML will place those files within the project automatically, that's the biggest benefit!

For years I've done an audio only podcast using Logic Pro X. We're considering doing a video version. I'm a novice at Final Cut Pro X. What is the biggest advantage(s) of using Riverside if I develop a workflow with Logic & FC?

If you're just starting with video, the Riverside editor is likely all you need for editing! Here's a walkthrough of recording and editing with Riverside: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWqbY32lgqmmn6sfeature=shared

This video is awesome, thank you so much. Do you have any advice for cutting a video. My wife has just recently started a Roku series in podcast format, and she records with riverside. She has a 28 minute timeframe and often goes well beyond that so I need to shorten the video. Sometimes my cuts don’t look the best and I don’t know how to go about it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
@Riversidefm11 ай бұрын
Hey Blake, that's a great question. Often what makes a good edit like that is subjective, but you can use the auto-generated Riverside chapters to see what topics are covered when, and if something seems like it can be cut out, you can actually delete all the content associated with that chapter in one click! Otherwise, you can upload transition clips or animations, maybe with the title of the next topic, into the riverside editor to make those transitions a little smoother.

Can you layout the process of switching between your comp/2 shot format and cutting to a single shot? So if someone is answering a questions for an extended period of time and you want to just highlight them? and then cut back to the two shot...

I see the same problem here as in my workflow: The video file is gigantic! On my 20 Mbps upload it would take forever to upload 33 GB...

If you record with Riverside you won’t have to deal with such large files, or save the raw to your computer!
