And this is how you make a how to video. No terrible music. No talking. No steps skipped. Awesome job.

Finally, a video cutting straight to the point. Nobody needs to know how to do the driver side (it has easy enough access) on these. Most importantly, someone who installed the bulb correctly, using a bag, glove or even paper towel to prevent transfer of body oils onto the bulb. Thanks for this video!!

Sorry, I don't have a video for that one. It will be similar to doing the passenger side, however, instead of removing the air box, you would need to remove the battery. I didn't find a great video on it, but hopefully this one will help. All the best! kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKDGlGlmYsaBgaM

@LimizukiStudios6 жыл бұрын
Why would you only change one...even the manual says change both
@MasterJacks6 жыл бұрын
There is no electrical benefit on the circuit for replacing two bulbs simultaneously. I personally wouldn't replace all 4 bulbs in my ceiling fan if just one had failed. The recommendation is strictly a time/convenience savings due to having already gained access to the area. If I was paying someone labor, I would consider it. Low beams typically far outlast high beams due to average run time. On the other hand, it might be a good idea to replace both low beams at the same time because if one goes out, there's a good chance the other isn't far behind. However, this is twice as much work as they are on opposite sides of the vehicle. Just my opinion. Definitely do what you think is best for you and your vehicle. Thanks, MasterJacks

I replaced one headlamp and one tail light(at different times) on my '96 Chevy k1500 many years ago. The other head lamp lasted at least 2 years longer and the other original taillight is still going. They really are not difficult to change, and some of the bulbs these days can be purchased singularly.

The video says H11. My 2011 Silverado apparently takes 9005.
@MasterJacks3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting, I should have made a note in the video. The H11 is the high beam bulb and the 9005 is the low beam.
@whutthufug3 жыл бұрын
@@MasterJacks Thanks for replying! Still a great video, so thanks. I read somewhere that 9005 is low and 9006 is high. The connectors between H11 and 9005 are pretty different, so idk.
@whutthufug3 жыл бұрын
Figured it out. Turns out that H11 is low, while 9005 is high. Had to find that out the hard way as I replaced the wrong bulb (not a mechanic!)
