Personally i would love to see Division 1 get updated to reflect some of the changes to the story In Division 2 and have both games interconnected to where we have to load up the first game, do a special mission, and then go to the sequel to finish it out. I know it sounds a bit complicated, but i think it would be a cool idea. Keener went back to NYC for a reason at some point. Would be awesome if we finally confront him where it all started.

I doubt that would happen. They need something for The Divison 3 and while it would be cool to interconnect the games they'd get some heat for going backwards (2 carrying back to 1) for those that started the series with Div 2. As much as I'd like that, I bet it wouldn't happen

Agent Fay was in a critical physical condition that prevented her from field duty, yet stable enough to keep her active. Due to her injury and impairment, she could not fight to take back New York as she originally intended. Instead, she reluctantly took up the mantle of being the player agent's "handler" and data analyst. She may not have physically fought the enemy factions during the events of Division 1, but she did provide intelligence "intel" support. Besides, she looks badass and is certainly making up for the lost time by kicking ass.

I'm not sure what it is but the story and characters in D1 were better and more memorable than D2. I can't remember a single character's name from D2, let alone anything they've said. I don't know if it's the writing or the voice acting or character designs, but none of them left any lasting impression and none of them have any lines I remember five minutes after hearing them. And the missions in D2, while often taking place at iconic, historic locations and being more dynamic in many ways than the missions in D1, they aren't nearly as memorable overall and rarely if ever have any memorable moments. The only one I can think of is the lights going off and the heavy coming through the hole in the roof of...whatever mission that was. I can't even remember.

I've put in 100hours or so into the game, played the story twice on two characters and I do not remember shit about the game or its story. Its fairly shit that's all I can recall.

The campaign and characters are generally the weakpoint of The Division. The first game sucked in that department too. They just were there to tell you what to do. However, the story in the background was amazing (for many of the characters too), but it didn't show when playing the game.

@@MastermindsHD Yea, the basic storytelling format was pretty much the same, but D1 still managed to get a lot more personality and narrative across through the characters, locations and missions. For some reason missions like Madison Field Hospital and Lincoln Tunnel Checkpoint and Grand Central Station and even ones in random locations like Rooftop Comm Relay and Amherst's Apartment were more memorable than Lincoln Memorial and Capitol Building - places that are incredibly iconic and easily should've been the most memorable of the series. Like I said, the heavy coming in through the roof is the only D2 mission moment that's stayed with me. The D1 missions were memorable not because they were in iconic locations like Madison Square Garden, but mostly because the narrative of each mission fit into the overall narrative of the story better, like chapters. In each mission I knew what I was there to do and why and how that fit into the overall goal. And also the characters had far more personality and were just incorporated into the story far better. When Faye Lau or Jessica Kandel or Captain Benitez or Rhodes was in my ear, what they said made sense not only for the mission and the broader story but also the character who was saying it, and it was usually at least a little clever or funny or cool or profound or whatever. In D2 I have no idea who is talking in my ear at any given time, what they're saying doesn't really tell me much about the mission or the broader story, and I don't remember any of it after. Right now I couldn't quote you a single line from D2. And after most of the missions I'm not sure what the point even was. Yes, story in Division (both 1 and 2) is mostly told through environmental storytelling, but in D1, the story did show when playing the game. Not to the same degree as a story-driven game, but it definitely showed. The characters were better defined, and the missions contributed to the overall story far more effectively than D2. At any point in the story you knew what you had done and why, and what else you had to do to reach the goal. D1 even did bad guys better. There was Joe Ferro and Larae Barrett and Charles Bliss and Amherst and obviously Aaron Keener. Name an enemy in D2. I can't. I can't name a single one.

it is up to you to determine what became of your D1 agent. You can even choose that your D2 Agent is your D1 agent but due to the SHD network shutting down, they lost all their D1 skills and had to gain the new ones from DC SHD techs.
