Those X-Transbots figures might look good, but there will be at least one of them that will break within the first 3 transformations. I'm sticking with the Unite Warriors set until Vectron or MMC gets released. That Vectron Scrapper looks perfect, way more accurate than the X-Transbots one. If it's a scam, someone is putting a ton of actual effort into it.

Oh no not another xtb troll Do you lot work for fanstoys or something? I've got about 10 xtb figures and only the waist on deadend exploded xtb sent it's replacement and nothing since I've transformed all my figures about 5-6 times each And they're all still perfect.

I'm not a xtb troll but a burned xtb customer who can read. Drag strips arms destroyed themselves on me twice and dead ends chest paint scratches off if I stare at it too hard. I've read about kup destroying itself and motor masters ab crunch joint. They have objectively poor build quality. I'm not employed by fans toys, I go out of my way to avoid having a ft-only collection. And despite how poor xtb makes figures, I have their punch and runabout on pre-order. Maybe you shouldn't make assumptions about people who state objectively accurate facts that you wish were not true?

@@captaincid6488 kup is the only figure I don't have I didn't like it, its not cartoon accurate But I do want locke version 2 All ten of mine are held carefully Transformed either with a vid or try to read through the terrible instructions if there isn't a vid And only deadend waist was bad. So how come I can have so many figures but 99.9% are fine. But along comes someone else and sharing all these stories that seem to be spread with the same faults.

The Jinbao with the Liketoys is pound for pound the best you can get for the $$. Looks fantastic next to all the other combiners.

Yeah, I missed out on all the Toyworld Devy options. And I wouldn't consider any of the ridiculous secondary market prices, so I went Jinbao OS gravity builder. I actually have both upgrade kits. But the 2.0 really does the job. This is my Devastator unless someone really knocks it out the park.

I got the jinbao ko oversized with the new upgrade kit a few months ago. For the price it blows toyworld out of the water. I think I'm in on xtransbots for individual bot modes. I hope vectron labs puts out the whole set. It would be nice to have options.

The first Generation Toy upgrade kit (which was eventually reproduced by Jinbao for the OSKO) had: thigh extenders that went between Long Haul's legs & conbiner posts and the ports in Scrapper & Mixmaster, a G1 style head with light-up eyes (just like the stock head, but, this is strictly for if you're keeping it displayed in combined form, as it's absosmurfinlutely useless for Hook's robot & vehicle modes), a new crotch that goes on Long Haul, and a pair of massive, very IDW style drills. Jinbao initially had no intention and no interest in doing the upgrade kit, but seeing as how they eventually did it anyway, I wonder what changed their minds? That said, I have the Jinbao oversized Gravity Builder KO, which they call "Builder.D"; it's a pretty fun set that can work with mainline (though the individual robot modes really only work with Combiner Wars Megatron, Combiner Wars Seekers, Titans Return Soundwave, and other ol' skool Leader class figures etc.) and MP. (Devy looks great with MP36!!) Also have the Cool Become Brave downsized KO of Combiner Wars Devastator... it's okay, but the plastic is woefully thin in several places. The combiner post for Bonecrusher to attach to snapped off in him, and now the post that attaches the left wing to the center plate has snapped off (this is bad because that left wing was the only way to keep Bonecrusher attached when combined once the combiner post broke). Don't even wanna know what else is wrong with this thing. And it's a shame because it matches up with the other Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors/Power of the Primes peeps nicely. For all the QC issues with "Constructor" that I've heard folks talk about, methinks Toyworld/Zeta vacated the throne itself. In fact, about a year or two before I got the Jinbao one, one of the guys in a Transformers group on Facebook had warned me to NOT get the Toyworld one cuz the molds were probably degraded to 🦈💩 by now in in addition to the existing issues.

Jinbao upgrade kit is for JinBao's Oversized KO of Gravity Builder and it is NOT compatible with original Gravity Builder. Also, LikeToys upgrade kit = JinBao upgrade kit 2.0 (JinBao already had an upgrade kit for this set), as JinBao bought out the kit plans from LikeToys and made the kit in molded plastic for like 1/5th of the price. Color of the kit perfectly matches the color of the Devastator. LikeToys kit was 3D printed so JinBao version is much better option, both structurally and financially. In addition, with the LikeToys/JinBao kit installed, oversized JinBao Gravity Builder KO is perfectly scaled with other MP combiners. Some people decided to combine old upgrade kit with the new one to get some more size but this required some cutting to make sure knee extensions from the old kit fit nicely with the 2.0 kit.

I never got an MP Devy. I will pick between TW and XTB once we get more of the XTB Constructicons to drop. But their intermittent quality with Kup and Perceptor means we have to question the final quality of anything they make. We can't just blindly trust them. But I do agree with you that XTB looks the best. That is an MP aesthetic for sure.

Love their menasor it is the best one out there. Dx9 is ok. Xtransbot has been chasing ft for a while but I like them. Their transformation is always up in the air. Just have some patience haha. As you said at least they have a combiner out 😂

Awsome video, i have the combiner wars devastator. I love it, i picked it up in a comic book/ toy store. I was told the chances of me getting him was slim to none then the store got one in and was about to display him for sale. Jumped on him quickly, cost me $250 but it was worth it. Cartoon accurate in combined mode, but your correct about the individual modes, not g1 accurate.

TW Devy is Studio Ox styled and the one I went with (yellow). I have quite a few Studio Ox based figs (a lot of early TW) and love them! Hate toon MPs, so no trade outs over here! 👍🏾 Kudos to toon MPers though, as a ton of options for y'all are on the way!

I still have my Combiner Wars Devastator and honestly, I like a lot about it. Especially in combined mode where less detail is more accurate. Damn that weird choice of the reversed style cement truck though. I have OS KO Gravity Builder and I love all the modes but as my collection has shifted more toon aesthetic it doesn't fit as well. In combined mode he's a bit floppy just because there's so much. Like a reluctant, small child. Hoping the Jin Bao upgrade kit will help that. But I do think XTB will be my bot mode option. Even so I'll at least try the first vectron labs offering just in case. It's so difficult to answer the question "how many characters do you have left to collect?"

I have the Jinbao devy with the latest upgrade kit, repro labels, liquid chrome accents, and a light/medium black wash. It took me almost two years to get everything done. And that's because I kept putting it off. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have the Combiners Wars version of Devastator, mostly because I wanted the cartoon aesthetic without having to pay too much. That being said, I’d REALLY like to get a masterpiece quality version & X-Transbots is starting to look good to me. I have their take on Perceptor & it’s an awesome, solid, well painted figure. Do like the Toyworld version, but at over $1,000 AUD I’d want something more cartoon like.

The unite warriors one has better individual bot articulation for a couple of the bots as well as individual bot blasters. Nice upgrade if you have to have the "best" versions of Has/Tak stuff but not really necessary if you just want a Devi.

I got the unite warriors Devastator back when I said that was the only combiner I’d get 😂. But then I got xtb menasor, I’m in on xtb defensor, and have zeta bruticus and superion. I’d like to get xtb Devastator to look mp, but for the money I’d rather buy the bots I don’t have to finish out the collection. The bot swap out / replacement thing is getting way more expensive than I’d planned.

I have the Jinbao oversized of Generation Toy' s Devastator with the upgrade kit & I love it not to mention I paid $200 total...it looks G1 enough to me, fits well with my MP collection, plus the only other combiner I have so far is Superion...still need the XTB trailer or DX9 Capone for Menasor & I need the rest of the MMC Defensor Figures...still on the fence about the Zeta Bruticus...I agree they the XTB may look the best as a toon esthetic but having so many options, I'm not sure it'll be a must have at this stage of the game...

I have the Generations Toy version and I got it as a box set on sale at BBTS. It came with their add on kit as well as the drills and even this huge mouse pad. I enjoy him but wish I could afford Toy World.prices are crazy to me in the secondary. I am going to double down on XTB. I really dig what I see so far. And at that price I hope it's what I expect. I really can't wait to get the first one in.

GREAT VIDEO! To me Toy World is the only one (so far) that has gotten Mixmaster right in vehicle & foot mode. The Gravity Builder Mixmaster - to me - looks squished as if Omega Supreme stepped on Dev’s foot in battle. The Combiner Wars’ Dev looks like they built Mixmaster in reverse. I’ve been waiting for YEARS for FansToys to announce their Devastator - but no luck - (same goes for completion of the combiners they’ve already started!) Personally, I might have to start giving some money to TransBots - that one looks promising!!

You are wrong saying the Jinbao ko with the Upgrade Kit 2.0 is only an inch taller than its previous incarnation. I have it displayed with my Zeta Superitron and Armageddon, and it might be even slightly taller than the two of them! It is easily at the 20" mark, and I think is also the best possible bang for the buck in Devastator ,at the MP scale.

I have not been impressed with the 2 combiners I have. Raiden is cool but I am enjoying the Legends scale combiners more. Menasor, MS Devastator and Superion is okay. But they are cheaper and are much more playable than the MP scale.
