Simply the greatest final and snooker match i have ever had the privilege to watch, 2 of the greatest players ever to grace the game at the top of their game and a finish which was undoubtedly one of the most dramatic finishes to any game of sport ever in the history of sporting events.

One of the truly great masters finals, i really was open mouthed on the edge of my seat watching that match, i also put a hundred quid on Higgins to win at the start of the tournement, he was 7/1, That aside, incredidible game, both players at the top of their game, fantastic. Is it just me or is snnoker missing those big grandstand games, that have that unexplainable magic.

I remember watching this match, it was incredible. Clips a touch biased towards Ronnie, seems to show a lot of Higgins' misses, so I can't really understand how people could call Higgins lucky based on this clip. Higgins played unbelievably to be 5-3 up after Ronnie's tournament high breaks of 138 & 139 in the first two frames (who by the way was also fantastic). He went from 3-0 down to 5-3 up, this BBC montage doesn't really show any of that all though I still really enjoyed it.

Because the fact remains that John Higgins is 1 of the greatest snooker players of all time, he's been the best snooker player of the past 5 years, and he is somewhere in the top 3 greatest that's ever picked up a snooker cue. He's not the best breakbuilder ever, and he doesn't have the greatest safety game ever, but he is the best allrounder who doesn't have a weak facet to his game. There's no other player you can say that about. Every player in history has at least one weakness, John Doesn't

Remember 2005? Ronnie took him to pieces. Not exactly better than Ronnie, is he? Just the usual (haters), it is to be expected. When a guy has a year off and still wins the 2013 World snooker championship. Nevermind, when you have that much talent & ability, then you can afford to be arrogant, simple as that. Ronnie was nowhere near his best in this particular match, that is pretty obvious.
@alexanderjames632810 жыл бұрын
Higgins is finished, look at the last two years. Ronnie still has the talent. my advice is, don't watch Ronnie videos, if all you are going to do is pour hate on a genius. Go watch John Higgins videos, that should send you to sleep in no time at all.
@DRAGONS14710 жыл бұрын
***** Well said man. Ronnie has what you call *Natural Born Talent*, I Agree Higgins is well past his best at this moment in time & anyway i lost alot of respect for him ever since those videos surfaced, but with Ronnie it doesn't matter how old he gets he'll still be producing The kind of Snooker he produces right into his 60s. (With the end of his crutch in an old folks home (; We all know what Ronnie is capable of on a Snooker Table. It doesn't matter who he comes up against or what kind of form they are in if Ronnie is on his *A+ Game* then Ronnie wins it's as simple as that. He hardly picked up a cue the whole year after wining the 2012 WSC & to come back in 2013 & defend his title just proves my Point & your Point & lets be honest about it he pissed it no one came close to him last year) In the 2006 WSC he played the best Snooker i have ever seen him play (I could say he was at his peak) but since the 2012 tournament he's surpassed that, At 38 yrs of age he is playing the best Snooker of his career & all snooker fans know from the age of 35 a player starts to decline but not Ronnie O' Sullivan he's getting better.
