Have just listened to the whole album. A fair amount of the time, at least a track or two has to sorta grow on me. Not this one. There is definitely something special about this track. Was telling my wife that Oblivion was such a particular part in my life, I'm sometimes sad I can't hear it again for the first time. This album, and this song especially, brings so much force with it. It gives me goosebumps. I went and listened to Blood and Thunder, and it was like seeing someone grow from youth into maturity. Just that first chorus break - WITHOUT A HEARTBEAT, THE DREAM IS DEAD - ALL THAT I HAVE SACRIFICED IS LEAVING ME, AND LETTING GO, NOW Just over and over, it's colossal. Bands spend their whole careers trying to make something that sounds like this.
