I can't help but admire the balance Mastodon strikes between taking their music very seriously and being as carefree as they want with their music videos. Evan Davidson Saw them live the other day in Ohio. I wasn't much of a fan prior but they are pretty enjoyable. Also, Primus was kinda underwhelming because half the show was playing through The Desaturating Seven, which felt like a lot of filler. So, if you liked their newest stuff you'll be cool but if you hold your breath for the og Primus hits, you may be a bit disappointed. Overall, pretty fun and not bad for my second concert ever.

The band never has any say in their music videos. They said they want their videos to be funny and memorable and not really reflect their music, because they get really serious writing each song. They don't want to be seen as pretentious prog-musicians. The videos are usually directed by their director friends and most of them are from that "adult swim"-type indie circle. I know you guys are joking but I just wanted to point that out.
