Thank you for being so open about the topic. 1:20, I’m also a chronic masturbator. It helps me regulate, and calms my mind. I think it’s the dopamine that I’m after.

My parents told I could do it only being alone, My preference was humping the bed, so my Mom asked me to use a dirty T-Shirt instead pf the sheets. I did not do it constantly but enough. However there was this boy in the neighborhood that did it any place he could lie down and do it till completion. I do think the school had a talk with his parents because it toned down to where he might get caught, might not! I have a relative that does it against the floor often clothed, he suffers from autism. Not sure if he will ever beat the autism, he can very sociable or not sociable depending on his mood!! Autism is much more than a child masturbating, the family works around the child to maintain the child's needs.

As a trans autistic woman. This really helps me understand that it’s NOT just the hormones. It’s a STIM that helps regulate. I can also speak that when I was an adolescent. I was chronic as well and practiced my sexuality, very unhealthy. I felt like a monster. I’m much more sex positive/smart now in my later 20s. Just took learning, with a very late autism diagnosis

Quite informative video. She explained it succinctly very well. I appreciate too that with specific examples of her son's behaviour, I love that she pointed out the differing logic between people with ASD and people of the general population. Both come to a subjective valid conclusion in their own minds, but misunderstandings, "mismatched logic" if you will often leads to problems. By and large it is not the person with ASD at fault, or deviant or whatever. It's a sensing, perceiving, therefore reasoning and communication difference between NT people and NaT (Neurologically A-typical) folk. Basically, both sides need to understand and have support to build the bridge to meet in the middle. Thanks very much for sharing video. Easy to watch. Straightforward laidback demeanor. 🙏🏼

thanks so much. we're having trouble figuring out how to teach it. the male autistic child is 10yrs of age and having erections. But recently this has gone beyond just the physiological reaction of getting an erect penis, but he's clearly having urges. but he doesn't know what to do. how to actually teach him what to do? should you try to teach "it" at all, or wait a little longer, perhaps a couple of years more? it's very hard to know what to do. edit: also I should add that a lot of the information in seeing is relating to verbal autistic kids. but in our case (my nephew) is minimally verbal (understands but doesn't speak fully except in segmented sentences and words mostly, sometimes fill sentences, but can't have normal conversations. affirms something by repeating and that kind of communications)

Class. Slightly raised percentage of neurodiverse males are hypersexual I think. And some women on the spectrum also. Not as many as the ASD+ men
@dolam
@dolam 4 жыл бұрын
That is a good question Tudor. I wonder if it is not a matter of individuals with ASD being hyper sexual , it may be more of an issue of not being aware of social norms. Neuro-typical individuals may have the same sex drive but handle their business more discretely. That is my hunch.
@manuelmanzanero5057
@manuelmanzanero5057 2 жыл бұрын
@@dolam I don't think it's a matter of "awareness of social norms". Hypersexuality does not have to crystallize in behaviors that oppose or ignore "social norms". In fact, if that were the case, the problem with those norms would not be restricted to males only. Women would also have atypical sexual behavior, even if it was expressed in a different way. There should be no qualms in venturing the hypothesis that through frequent masturbation, one of the aspects that people often associate with "hypersexuality" in ASD males, many boys and men with ASD find a way to alleviate a sexual desire that many of them cannot satisfy through dyadic relationships. The famous study by Schottle and others, "Sexuality in Autism", points out that men with ASD tend to have higher levels of desire for sex and love relationships than both neurotypical men and women with and without ASD, while they have much lower levels of mating and actual relationships than all of them. This, without a doubt, we can conclude that translates into a great accumulation of frustrated desire. And it corresponds with what I myself have observed in the people with ASD that I have known, around 50 (all males, except six or seven). Of these males, only six had or had ever had a stable partner (4 opposite-sex partners, 2 same-sex partners) in their lives, and only a few more had any kind of intercourse (almost always by the "mercenary" way). And for the rest, their celibacy had nothing to do with low or absent sex drive. (The women, on the other hand, were all married / coupled and had different relationships throughout their lives, which were started and finished by them at will). There is no need to be afraid of saying that society does not distribute opportunities equally among all its members, and the opportunity to have sexual relationships is a clear example of this, especially for groups with both socioeconomic and neurobiological vulnerabilities.

Is it hyper-sexuality or sensory issue? Also, let’s not forget that Autistic people are often target of abuse, so this sexual acts could be triggered by sexual abuse.

I don’t mean to be mean, but Ai think it’s deeply screwed up that you mentioned your son’s masturbation habits in this video knowing full well that he would be deeply embarrassed, and I stopped watching the video at that point. I would be furious if my parents saw me masturbating and then decided to announce that fact to the entire world.

Masturbation isn’t good… there are spiritual consequences when we do the deed and release our seed. It becomes an addiction and it causes physical deficits like erectile dysfunction and hair loss in men. It kills our motivation to seek out a partner and it can also make us socially awkward.
@thebuilder5271
@thebuilder5271 Жыл бұрын
That’s all old wives tales and myths. Masturbation is scientifically proven to be good for you as long as it’s not an addiction. There is no evidence whatsoever that it has any relation to hair loss or ED. But I’m thinking you might be a troll bc idk anyone that says “do the deed and release our seed” seriously lol. If you are serious though please read some peer reviewed medical journals
@Brujo2016
@Brujo2016 Жыл бұрын
@@thebuilder5271 Actually it does, masturbation and ejaculation leads to a higher production of DHT and prolactin which contributes to hairloss and a receding hairline. Mainstream science has lied to you. Masturbation is a contributing factor for erectile dysfunction. Like seriously, there are no benefits to masturbation.

@@thebuilder5271 you said maturbation is beneficial as long as it's not an addiction? It's like saying drinking alcohol is beneficial as long as it's not an addiction. I'm 100% sure your maturbation routine is no where near healthy in this life or the next. So why are bringing up the argument about it being "beneficial". It's always an addiction for the people that "want to be alone" They are alone, they get bored, they wank. Something in life isn't going well for them, they wank. They face a new challenge that seems daunting, they wank. They accidentally stumble upon sexual contents online, or a very sexually attractive person, they wank to the thought. They sometimes explicitly go in search of wanking when they haven't done it in a while... Especially for neurodiverse people. It is an addiction for the majority of people who do it. It is rarely a: " oh I need to rub one off" Stop trying to make it sound "okay" logically. Read up how much sperm is produced during an ejaculation and how many a man produces. Do the math and see if you're nit trying to pedal life altering drugs to others indirectly.

There’s time when he takes our phones go to the park across the street and during summer ( which is right now) he records young women in their shorts, we try to redirect him but he get aggressive and tries to runs away and it’s opens a can of worms, our questions would be how can we reduces this behavior or what you would recommend to try to get a handle on this behavior , thank you in advance for your feedback , have a great night .
