This is such a wonderful speech on a very serious topic within current society with intelligent humors, and it contains a lot of facts as well. I am a big believer in communication and trust are key to successfully relationships (particularly sexuality part of the relationship) , and masturbation can really help in those two areas, because if you don't know your own body, your own sexual pleasure, then how would you expect anyone else to know better than yourself. She is right about some things but I believe it DOES teach me instant gratification which makes my life feel harder than it is.. I get more distracted because I tend to search for a stimulus that gives me similar feeling more often.. I did experience worse performance at a gym after doing it (I'm talking day or two before).. I'm not sure about immunity improvement, I only notice brief improvement when I'm sick and then I feel even more tired and overall worse.. I don't tell anyone what to do but for me it seems helpful. I don't have religious reasons, I'm not ashamed of it and I don't care about going against mainstream.. Maybe it helps only certain types of people, who knows, I'm probably one of them.. What she is not talking about is that masturbation can lead to lost of motivation, social anxiety, lost of confidence and can be trap that prevents you from pursuing your passions and life goals. Conscious celibacy can help with these issues. Also, excessive masturbation can prevent you from looking for real life partner. Combined with porn can mess up with your perception of sex and relationships between sexes. I would argue that in moderation it will not kill you, and conscious celibacy can bring you some benefits. BTW I am not advocating becoming priest.

You may be right. Propably porn is more dangerous than masturbation alone. But I still believe that you can get some benefits from not masturbating. There are some theories as to why that can happen. One tells that when you dont do it, your body recognize that you are not reproducing and give you extra energy to improve yourself, your confidence and motivation. Also, masturbation gives you huge dopamine kick, and when you overdose over time, you can become depleted. Thats my thoughts.
