This early 70's era for Match Game was the highlight of the show. Everything was new and the celebrity of all the panelists was fresh. No one was jaded and their was excitement in the air. Everyone was happy to be there.

@@MrMustangMan Oh no, I was in a silly mood that day, and thought it might be kinda funny to exaggerate the numbers. At the time, gas prices were rising and Japanese cars were selling at a high rate. This was due to the fact they got very good gas mileage. According to the TV advertisements, the Datsun B-210 I had, got about 45 mpg on the highway and 35 mpg in the city. 😊

Shelby 412 it was very fun because game shows came on and I watch Buzzr and the gsn every day and I love the seventies too and the seventies made me happy with Gene Rayburn making funny jokes and one of the episodes he took his shoe off. Until you hear how PC doesn't exist. The panelists and sometimes the contestants give answers and say things that people would NEVER SAY nowadays. I've seen them imitate every ethnicity. They used (Brett) the word fag. There's so many examples of non political correctness on this show it's not even funny. I read the stars were fed a heavy diet of alcohol before the shows tapeing. I watched match game religiously as a kid. I loved the show!
