+dragon volvagia55. I was being sarcastic. I just wish the show had less sexual content than it does today. It might take some effort and creativity but the writers could come up with questions that are fun and "family friendly" at the same time. The contestants' answers are also rather shocking today. In the old days they would use innuendo rather than just coming right out and saying things. The networks don't seem to have "standards and practices" people (censors) anymore. Nothing seems to get bleeped or edited out. I was 21 when the Dawson version of Feud came on the air. I am 61 today. Just call me an old fogey.
@PianoGuy12268 жыл бұрын
+Robert S. Sorry I sounded a bit harsh in my comment. Don't worry, I was just agreeing with you :) I myself grew up watching the show since Louie Anderson hosted around 2000, and even then it wasn't as adult-oriented as it is today. It was only last year when I found out about Richard Dawson and Ray Combs as the hosts, and I began watching the show more on KZbin than on TV. It amazes me how simple the show used to be when it first came on. I also enjoy the old-style intro for the show - how the families would be posing like they were getting their picture taken and the announcer would say all their names.

@BrandonTheBicon9 жыл бұрын
+Dallas Dal My best guess is that they the didn't have enough room for all of the answer slots at the time... the electronic board had 8 rows only. I think that there is a certain charm to the spinning board with flipping answer displays.

From Richard Dawson to Steve Harvey. Congratulations on 48 years of FAMILY FEUD. People keep saying show business has changed over the years. Well, of course, this was the 1970's. We are now in the 2020's. Duh! People who hate Steve Harvey as the host of FAMILY FEUD, grow up, he can't please everyone, you hate him because of the way other people like him. The show's ratings have skyrocketed because of him. Both he & the show have Emmy Awards. Yes, the questions are more raunchy nowadays. But, there's a simple solution, don't watch it then. Richard Dawson was creepy with all the kissing of the female contestants because he wanted to give them good luck. Then why not kiss the male contestants? Don't they need good luck too? Also, Richard Dawson, in several episodes, would come out with a speech & would not start game play for about 5 to 7 minutes. By that point, Steve Harvey is already two questions in. John O'Hurley, I personally think, was the blandest host. Steve Harvey also hosts FAMILY FEUD In South Africa, by the way. Congratulations on 15 years of hosting FAMILY FEUD Steve Harvey, here's to 15 more.
