I too have been Shooting my Triax since 2018. Bought the V3-31 last year but still hunted with the trusty Triax. I bought the V3X 29 this year. Running HHA Tetra with UV3 XL thru Bridge Lock. And Hamskea Epsilon rest and GAS Ghost strings and Black Eagle X-Impact arrow. I am loving this rig! My Triax will be my back up bow for hunting. The V3-31 became my dedicated 3D rig

Nice rig. Mine is very similar. Started visiting Dorge 2 years ago. It’s the best thing that ever happened to me archery wise.

I bought this now with 65,70,85 pound mods with engage legs for $675 , basically brand new a backup bow from another hunter. Great bow once you get it dialed in perfect.

I got a mathews vxr, after the first month of shooting it the limbs started creeking the first time I would pull it back. I brought it into my dealer he thought it was fixed, it wasn't. Took it back to him and he had to send it in to mathews this time. It wasn't doing it after that, but after a month it was creaking again! At this point it was almost the rut and I wasn't going to miss that waiting for my bow I spent 1400 on. At what point do they stop trying to fix a problem and realize you can only put so many different limbs on a bow b4 you realize that's not the problem

I cant agree more with getting rid of the factory zebra strings. I got the new V3X and one the 5th or 6th shot my string broke, went with a custom string and will always swap out the factory strings from now on.

I thought the AeroBump was supposed to be setup with the short end closer to the D loop/ center of bow? Looks upside down from what is recommended from the maker himself...

Doesn’t the aero bump go on the other way on the bow? I was told it has to be more towards the center of the string/flipped closer to the middle. They added severing to my string to help. Definitely an awesome upgrade! Insane how that and the titanium bolt kit works! Thanks for the info!

Here’s the deal, the V3X is super dead in hand already. Put that on like an older speed bow and that’s where it comes in money. It’s a waste on the V3X or Phase 4.

Doesn’t matter how many toys you put on that bow. If you keep doing the up and down move before you anchor and finger tip punch on the trigger it’s all for nothing

The same thing happened to me on my aftermarket strings. Upgraded to ABB And didn’t have room to tie in my peep. In your Video do you have your arrow bump upside down according to the fire knock website it should be facing upward not downward, just thought I should point that out.

That's not a true trajectory test. You need to sight in with both arrows and measure the highest point of the arrow. Brandon Mcdonald did a great video explaining this. The difference isn't as big as you would think. Especially as distances get further out.

I'm a new hunter and never shot a bow. I'm just wondering what a set up like cost ball park. Thanks for the video and any advice for me to purchase my first bow would be very appreciated. I wold rather buy a great one first then a cheap one and good one later thanks.

It depends where you live and what pro shops are around. Any flagship bow is going to be 1300$+ but you can find great bows for 500-800$ it just depends on what feels the most comfortable to you. I’d look into mission mxr, elite basin, and bow tech divergent if price is your main factor.
@blaydenzahner9379

For a complete bow set up it depends on what you get. Low end you can probably get a set up around 700$ release arrows and bow set up . High end anywhere from 2k to 3k depending on what you get . I recommend getting a nicer bow to start off so you don't have to buy a nicer bow latter . But if you do t have the money a cheaper bow works just as good . It's like driving a old truck versus a Cadillac , both get you where you need to go but ones more comfortable.

Yeah No shit the arrow would be lower in the dirt and the other one that your bow is SIGHTED IN FOR would be in the kill zone😂

You’re missing the point. There’s a 10 inch difference between the two arrows at 20 yards. The pin gap is absurd. The trajectory is absurd

@@camthecameraman5096 kinetic energy is what kills not trajectory. Lighter arrows means less kinetic energy down range. Rather put my arrow completely through the animal than watching the animal run off with the arrow plugging up wound hole. Two holes are better than one.

@@darkwandervids6717 kinetic energy is actually not what kills. Momentum is and speed is a big factor in momentum

@@camthecameraman5096 throw a Ping-pong ball and a baseball at the same momentum and speed or should I just say velocity and see which one hits harder. Same thing. Plus heavier objects maintain momentum at longer ranges. Just gotta find a happy medium for what you like and run whatever you want. Just enjoy the outdoors. Good luck bud.

Man everything looks great but if I was you I would try to quit gripping that riser and is lizard and quick punch in the h*** out that trigger just saying that will throw off your accuracy big time I know everybody refers back to Tim Gillingham but Tim puts his finger on the trigger and pulls it and pulls it you don't punch it Just some things that help myself
