Hey Chris, tuning question for you. I started off setting up my bow with the sting and arrow level and running through the berger hole. This is the 75# limb setup you said? Do you know what it was actually drawing at peak weight exactly? It looks smooth as hell pulling back. Im shooting a 75# RX-1 with 80# limbs at nearly 30” draw and that thing is aggressiveeee. Wondering if i should drop to 70# or stick to 75/80# limbs for my new rig because i know the new cam systems and setups are much smoother and more forgiving. Now im wondering if this bigger ATA bow i wanted to get into would be bad for us who saddle hunt, any thoughts on this? Im still new to the saddle game and yet to take a deer from it so wondering how manipulating this in the saddle would be
@smau9903 жыл бұрын
Would be interesting to know how ½" more brace height affects forgiveness of the bow. Like does 33 have better accuracy with fixed blade BH when you're cold, stiff and shooting in odd angle. Can you do like saddle shooting comparison between 29 and 33 with a fixed BH.
@andrewyoder883 жыл бұрын
The difference between shooting a 29 inch and a 33 inch is how it fits you. For example a person with let's say a 30 inch draw that's shooting the 29 inch bow won't have as much forgiveness for him as the 33 inch bow. The string angle would be steeper for him on the 29 inch therefore it might not feel right at full draw and also the nock travel distance from point of release to point of leaving the string would be a little further. Now an experienced archer with maybe a 28 inch draw could shoot both bows and you would see minimal to zero difference in the shot groups. There are other people that can explain this better but this is my take. As far as saddle hunting the 29 inch bow will be more maneuverable
@smau9903 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter if person is 28" or 30" draw higher brace height will be more forgiving to errors, question is how much. Just as well, would be interesting to see saddle shots with 33 and where the size limits useability.

Could you ever do a video on how to get your field points real close to where your broadheads are hitting? I always feel like my heads are inches off at like 30/40 yards to where my field points hit and its frustrating for practice in season. I always end up just adjusting and setting up for the broadhead groups
@tactic__ghost__20883 жыл бұрын
I had the same problem with mine but all I did was move the rest in the way I wanted the broadheads to go, but only move it in very very small increments because you don’t want to move where the field tips are hitting. There’s a few videos on broadhead tuning that I found that were a huge help. My broadheads were hitting about 3 inches left at 40 and I moved the rest about 1/32 to 1/16 of an inch to the right and they started touching the field tips. I hope that helps.
