The thing that gets me in Matins is on weekdays when they don't have a Gospel, or if they do they don't sing 'We have seen the resurrection...' and I am away with the fairies until someone goes *cough*Psalm 50*cough*

I have a question, is it possible for a husband to become Orthodox without his wife? My wife is not a person of faith. But I have a desire to be an Orthodox Christian. I've been praying and I still feel like the Orthodox Church is where I'm supposed to be.

My wife is not Orthodox but I converted anyway. My wife loves God but not as Orthodox. (She is me and Jesus with my Bible kind of Christian) Still pray for your salvation and do not do not try to convert her. Let your light shine before the Lord. Work out your own salvation.

God gives us all challenges. Converts have to navigate a plethora of them that it is hard for Cradles to relate to.

Brother Matthew, I kindly ask you to read Paul's Epistle to the Ephesians (5:20-33). This epistle is read during the Orthodox marriage ceremony where married couples are told “to be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ.” I pray that you both be baptized together as that would be a very beautiful thing.
