@@zber9043 Ben is the least Australian Australian there is. No mongrel in him. Happy just to drive fast cars and date models. He’s not it for the right reasons. Giannis came in as limited, if not more so as a scorer and thanks to the burning desire to be great and the work ethic, is now a 2 time MVP and NBA champion. Not to mention Ben bails on the national team EVERY time he can. IMO, there isn’t much reason for pride in Ben Simmons. I like Patty, Thybulle, Joe, Baynes, Giddey etc more than Simmons any day of the week

Loved this! This is why I believe 4 year college players are grossly underrated..."Typically when I make plays it is because I did something wrong..." You have never and may never hear that kind of honesty in a guy that is only 2 years in and hasn't had a big contract yet. Also the part about physical gifts compensating for the inevitability of being beat on defense...it is why Ben is an elite defender because guarding the perimeter is way harder than what Bigs do and what Rudy does. You have to do so many calculations and you are being attacked head on way more...INCREDIBLE perspective.

Had that same issue/fear when I first started organized ball...played D and got the steal and take off to the basket and not know how to softly lay in or layup with finish early and miss badly...started doing this weird hand switch or taking the ball and waving it down and up to help momentum until I figured out the mechanics real time LoL...
