One of the most wholesome and Godly moments I've ever witnessed in music... Was Matisyahu performing at the Jewish family Festival in mountain View California, when he was performing his young boy came on stage and embraced his Father, and instead of sending his son away to perform, he held his boy. There's nothing more important to a boy than his fathers love. Will always support Matisyahu after witnessing that moment.

Lyrics: You're all that I have and you're all that I need Each and every day I pray to get to know you please I want to be close to you, yes I'm so hungry You're like water for my soul when it gets thirsty Without you there's no me You're the air that I breathe Sometimes the world is dark and I just can't see With these, demons surround all around to bring me down to negativity But I believe, yes I believe, I said I believe I'll stand on my own two feet Won't be brought down on one knee Fight with all of my might and get these demons to flee Hashem's rays fire blaze burn bright and I believe Out of darkness comes light, twilight unto the heights Crown Heights burnin' up all through till midnight Said, thank you to my God, now I finally got it right And I'll fight with all of my heart, and all a' my soul, and all a' my might What's this feeling? My love will rip a hole in the ceiling Givin' myself to you from the essence of my being Sing to my god all these songs of love and healing Want Moshiach now so it's time we start revealing What's this feeling? My love will rip a hole in the ceiling Givin' myself to you from the essence of my being Sing to my God all these songs of love and healing Want Moshiach now Strip away the layers and reveal your soul Got to give yourself up and then you become whole You're a slave to yourself and you don't even know You want to live the fast life but your brain moves slow If you're trying to stay high then you're bound to stay low You want God but you can't deflate your ego If you're already there then there's nowhere to go If you're cup's already full then its bound to overflow If you're drowning in the water's and you can't stay afloat Ask Hashem for mercy and he'll throw you a rope You're looking for help from God you say he couldn't be found Looking up to the sky and searchin' beneath the ground Like a King without his Crown Yes, you keep fallin' down You really want to live but can't get rid of your frown Tried to reach unto the heights and wound bound down on the ground Given up your pride and the you heard a sound Out of night comes day and out of day comes light Nullified to the One like sunlight in a ray, Makin' room for his love and a fire gone blaze Makin' room for his love and a fire gone blaze What's this feeling? My love will rip a hole in the ceiling Givin' myself to you from the essence of my being Sing to my God all these songs of love and healing Want Moshiach now so it's time we start revealing What's this feeling? My love will rip a hole in the ceiling Givin' myself to you from the essence of my being Sing to my God all these songs of love and healing Want Moshiach now And see, I lift up my eyes where my help come from And I seen it circling around from the mountain Thunder! You feel it in your chest You keep my mind at ease and my soul at rest You're not vexed When I look to the sky where my help come from And I've seen it circling around from the mountain Thunder! This song reminds me that deep down inside me somewhere is pure love. Though we can never comprehend divinity with our human minds, we all have a hope inside, something that says disregard all the stress, never mind all the anger we feel towards people who piss us off, somewhere inside each of us is that love for something that we cant prove exists. Its the divinity within us, our very nature of unconditional love.

@@letsdeduce it’s okay man I’ll pray for you. You’re literally listing to music that praises GOD. Just like the song says ask Hashem for mercy and he’ll throw you a rope. It’s crazy how you say it’s it’s deluded and no basis in reality… but I bet you believe in history books from your local library or school. The Bible is the biggest history book it’s actually multiple books in one. Just like how you read many history books and scriptures is how the Bible should be approached. Trust me I was there in your shoes until I bent the knee. He’s preaching, so your listing to him preach about GOD in song form.
@eddy08226 ай бұрын
@@letsdeduce I function just fine and contribute as much as I can to society. I am a veteran with much trauma so I can even say I’ve contributed more than the average member of society. But I’m humbled by your thoughts and I’ll respect them. Keep listing to the word of god and someday you’ll take these lyrics into your heart and soul as it’s meant to be. One thing I will say is don’t jump to conclusions about someone before even hearing why one believes in the one true god. Everyone’s got a storybook take sometime to hear it and you just maybe humbled as well. You want god but can’t deflate your ego

Yeah, the studio version is nice, but this right here is human experience on full display. That feels like someone having a psychological breakthrough and a reconciliation with their faith and love of music. This is his unrestrained self on display for all to see and then you can sense the people in the crowd connecting with his authenticity just like we are listening to it like 14 years later. This track is a musical treasure and I'm so glad they recorded it!

It's a man worshiping God with his music. "Sing to my God songs of love and healing" "Thunder! You feel it in your chest! You put my mind at ease and my fears to rest" This man is worshiping. He's having a religious experience as he comes close to the presence of God. Proselytizing, pouring out his faith to the room, hopefully illuminating the hearts of those in the room. "Give myself to you from the essence of my being" "Make room for His love and the fire gone blaze!"
