I remember hearing this on my way to work and it took me a good two hours to come back to any sense of reality because it hit so hard. People have said they needed to pull over and just started crying on the side of the road. It was one of those moments which you remember. Trick of the Light (Redemption Tour version) is your next song for Matt, but we have a heap of other artists from down under who we need to acquaint you with as well. Most have not seen the level of international success they deserve, and as such are not well known outside of Australia and New Zealand.

Hello, Adrianna. It's awesome that you revisited this song in a different version. Matt is a very good singer, and settings like these reallylend a hand to his voice in a perfect way. Stripped down or unplugged is THE way to listen to singers of his caliber. That's at least my personal view. The only artists I Iisten to on a regular basis are those who sound AS good or better like this, compared to a studio recording. Most of MY favorites actually sound even better like this. Matt is one of those I think, even though he's not on my top 10 list 🙂 Take care ♥♥♥

Definitely the rawest version where Matt doesn't hold but and fully commits to it in the final chorus. Trick of the Light live on the Resolution tour is another great performance by Matt worth looking at.

I’m not sure if you know the story behind this song, Earlier this particular year (2012), he had a falling out with one of his closest friends over something that was his fault. And how hard that was to go through for him. Taking the blame. Acknowledging it. You can feel it in this version for sure ❤

Honestly, I know everyone recommended this version - and rightly so, it's bloody amazing - but I was soooo happy to see you go with the Stripped version (it's my personal fave, although I listen to both all the time.) I saw that someone else suggested "Monday" in the comments of your Stripped reaction, and I completely agree - "Monday" is quite literally transcendent.
