I've been carrying a log down the river bank while I'm walking my dogs. The added difficulty of getting over rocks, other logs and slippery ground provides a real challenge. I pick a spot in the distance that seems impossible to get to without setting the log down at all. The whole way there I'm overcoming the mental challenge of not letting myself stop. I've gone past the spot I pick every time and it translates into overcoming the rest of the challenges I face in the day.
