I've been in a chair for over 40 years. Thank you for including "WHEELIES" in your jokes! So often we are the "unseen". However, for many of us, humour is one of our greatest coping tools. Constant pain, seemingly endless medical problems and the daily frustrations of living in a world that is not accessible - these things are made bearable by laughter. Keep the jokes coming - and please, tell people to stop with the "kid gloves treatment". Living in a wheelchair often makes us mentally stronger and a HELL of a lot thicker-skinned than most "able-bodied people. PLEASE COME TO TORONTO SOON!!!

I am disabled also, and people always treat my disability like it defines me. I enjoy proving them Wrong! I have MS; It doesn’t have Me! It is a small part of me. That’s all! When people treat me like I’m “Broken”, I tend to remove them from my life. They are generally a negative person, and I prefer to live a positive, happy, comical life! I laugh at everything I can!

Oh you are just gorgeous 😍 I wish the emoji did Hearts 💕 I'd give you a hundred. When i was at uni years ago doing a social work degree, one of out assignments was to spend a day in a wheelchair & do a few things, like shopping ...in a street and in a large shopping centre, buying a drink at a bar, buying clothes, crossing a road..a whole bunch of stuff. It was a huge eye-opener. People didnt make eye contact with me, buying a drink at the bar was a nightmare, asking for directions .."yeah ok, if you carch the 122 bus and get off at XYZ street and then walk (walk??) a 100 metres, go to the left at the skate park.." Yeah right. I went mute at the bus word. Using a rest room. I couldnt find one for chairs. I just gritted my teeth. Others talked to me like i was a 10yr old. Ughh. It was quite an experience and one I do not envy. You guys rock that you do this every damn day. ❤❤❤

I had two of my grandpas die in the same year (2024) One of them was old age, and the other one had dementia and mouth cancer, I was able to FaceTime my other grandpa, I was nervous because I hadn’t talked to him since he told me he had dementia, and thought he had already forgotten who I was, but, he never did, because of how swollen his cheek was he could barely talk, his last words to me were, “my little Gabrielly,”

Lucky for me, someone posted a couple of your videos clips. I haven't laughed so hard in years. After my daughter (39yrs old) was brutally beaten to death by her boyfriend Thanksgiving 2017, then the love of my life for past 20 yrs suddenly passed this year. It's been tough to enjoy much of anything. After those clips I watched I googled you, and plenty more videos of your shows popped up. Your Papaw was so right, you are hilarious! What a natural... And including your audiences what a clever, successful act you've invented. Thanks for bringing me back to reality. Not just to exist, but live again. Thank you so sincerely. Rock on dude! 💕

But I've been watching more of your specials, and you are drinking hilarious! You may connect well with your live audiences, but even us over 65+ old farts really appreciate your humour! (Not sure I spelled that right. Oh well, what r u going a do, ground me? Lol) Hey, thanx so fucking much for distracting me from all the crap for awhile. Laughter truly is the best medicine,! Im trans. I think this is funny as shit...because i have a sense of humor and can make fun of myself. I live close to Dave Chappelle. I love him to death. He's only been good to me and others ive known in the community. He does good things for his town which is HEAVILY LGBT related. I get that people that are new to being transgender are extremely sensitive, I was, but being my own worst critic has helped me deal with things. I can take a joke. I know when someone is intentionally being mean. We aren't all up-in-arms about this stuff, but its the super sensitive ones that are the loudest. So you mostly hear them. Awesome show Matt! ✌❤🙂

I was in a wheelchair for 6 years and I agree with Matt, it's tough, but I still had the opportunity to get out of my chair. Some people are missing limbs and will never walk again, so in comparison, my life isn't as hard as their's.
