In case you still haven't find out, their guitarist Christos Antoniou is a composer who arms the contemporary scene of modern and metal music. He origins from Greece and throughout the years has established his trademark which is the explosive combination of extreme elements from both worlds, metal and modern music. His distinctive musical language confirms his title as a pioneer in the Greek Metal scene who has paved the way for his further international career. Christos studied composition at the London College of Music under the guidance of Martin Ellerby, Head of the Composition department, acquiring his Bachelor of Music in 1999. He continued his studies in Composition/Orchestration earning his Master’s Degree in Concert Music. Adam Gorb, Head of composition in the Royal Northern College of Music, was among his tutors. An exceptional moment for Christos and his band comes with their album “The Great Mass”, where he exposes all his talent as a composer and arranger of the orchestral parts that very quickly defined Septicflesh as one of the top symphonic-metal bands all over the world. In February of 2019, SEPTICFLESH delivered a historic sold out performance at the Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City. The unforgettable night entitled, “INFERNUS SINFONICA MMXIX", was the largest production of its kind at the venue which included the band and over 130 musicians from the Symphonic Orchestra and National University of Mexico Children's and Youth Choir.

That was unexpected! What a banger!! Music and arrangement are just great. I also had associations with contemporary classical music and, it may seem strange, with Zappa. The only thing that was sometimes a bit too much for me in this song was the growling. Since we talked about Dominum last week, today the new video "We All Taste The Same" was released.

I am glad you liked it. I did see that Dominium just put out a new video. I will add it to the list. Thank you

Damn that was awesome! It would be so cool to attend a concert like this. To be honest, I have not heard/listen too much Septicflesh earlier, but after this I definitely need to check more of them.

Septicflesh, like Rotting Christ, is from Greece, and I, uh, regret to inform you that growing up in the Balkans, me and kids I was friends with were not exactly shielded from profanity as much as kids today are (especially in English, because almost nobody spoke English) . Then I checked when and where this was recorded and apparently it was in Mexico, so the orchestra and choir are local. So I really don't know how they or their parents would have reacted to the whole thing. Maybe they're not hearing him in their monitors or something? Maybe someone else knows more. Funny thing, I saw Septicflesh live back in 2011. I remember absolutely nothing, they were opening for Amon Amarth and I literally learned their name the day of the concert. And so many things went wrong there, my brain has held on to the worst details of that evening. Probably not going to be going out of my way to listen to them, but I think they're good. Since we're talking death metal here: I don't know off the top of my head if you're familiar with Crypta, all-female death metal band from Brazil. The guitars on their song "Lord of Ruins" are stubbornly stuck in my head. If you don't know it, you need to know it.

I love the name Septicflesh. It’s so interesting to pair them with an orchestra. I just always feel bad for the orchestra members who might not be fans of metal, but just doing a gig. I have heard a few songs by Crypta. They are one of those bands where I really like them as people in interviews, but still haven’t found any of their music that grabs me. I will check out your suggestion and see what’s up.

Well I guess it's one thing to perform with the likes of Epica or Metallica, and another with Septic or Dimmu Borgir. I will try to see if there are any interviews with musicians who have performed as part of the orchestra or choir in such situations, just to get their perspective. Crypta kind of grew on me. If it helps, their guitarist Taina is playing Solar guitars 😅

That would be cool to see their perspective. As far as Crypta goes, you had me at “Solar”. I will give them another listen.

My first thoughts were, yeah, I need a Tshirt too. Then the opening was amazing. I was thinking beat was great, I love this band. Then the unecessary profanity made me cringe. Just like a flat note☹️ I tried to get back into it but while it was good, it never moved back up into amazing.😪 Yes, I am an old fart but profanity has made me cringe since I was a child. Anyway, Not bad.🙄 Great reaction👍 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦

I understand. I am not bothered by profanity, but unnecessary profanity is very cringe. I did like the song and want to check out more from them.

@@MattsMoshPit1 For me it is only in music. On the street, does not bother me at all.🙄

In a weird sort of way I understand it. I guess you expect more from artists, rather than anyone off the street.

@@MattsMoshPit1 You might be right. 🤔 I never considered that angle. I think it has something to do with opening up your soul to music whereas I am always on guard on the streets.
