I don’t think Stolas is really that much aware of Blitzo’s traumas and past. What he knows is that he put Blitzo in an forceful transactional relationship and that was wrong. He realized that Blitzo gave all the signs he wasn’t interested and that he (Stolas) was basically keeping him in a cage, and that in that situation is obvious that Blitzo could never trust him. Those are the “walls” Stolas was singing about, I believe. Because, aside from being from a Circus, Stolas doesn’t really know much about Blitzo’s life. He doesn’t have any idea about how terrible his father was, the accident, the dead mother, the broken relationship with his sister, nothing, nada. He only knows that Blitzo’s dated Verosika and she hates him. And that Fizz used to hate him too. But that’s it. Keep that in mind, when watching Full Moon! Because the LEVEL of communication these two need are way higher than we thought. Stolas doesn’t know anything about Blitzo’s traumas and Blitzo doesn’t know anything about Stola’s traumas (forced marriage, abusive wife, absent father, etc).

11:19 (spoiler-free) One thing to keep in mind is that while both characters have good intentions (in their own very different ways) Blitz and Stolas are *both* very fallible and have constructed fictional versions of the other in their minds. We've seen this with Blitz in S2E6 (Oops) when he completely misdiagnoses Stolas attention, because Blitz is very focused on the transactional aspect that effectively renders him a prostitute in the relationship - doing sex with Stolas is work and whatever unfortunate feelings he may or may not have developed for his client just has to be repressed and put aside. Building up Stolas in his mind as a rich prick that only sees imps as sex toys makes it easier to stomp out unwanted emotions. Stolas has his own delusions, and he doesn't have any real non-transactional relationship experience outside of romantic fiction. He has sussed out that Blitz has some kind of baggage, but he's kinda framing it in this scene as if Blitz is a Troubled Bad Boy (TM), the kind of romantic interest that would turn into a gentle romantic partner if the main character just loved him hard enough. In reality, Stolas doesn't actually know Blitz any more than Blitz knows Stolas. "Scorned by a world that cannot comprehend what you are" isn't anywhere near the top of Blitz' list of real problems (self loathing, anger issues, survivor's guilt, and ptsd on the other hand...) but "the world hates my misunderstood troubled bean" would be the diagnosis for a character that behaves like Blitz in your bog standard bodice ripper novel, and that's the only sources that Stolas really have available to work with. I could write another three paragraphs easily, but that would venture into spoiler territory so I better save that for the next video.

I love hearing your take on them. Cus the fandom has quite strong opinions about these two and some of them are... well.. spiteful. Some, wrongfully, think that the story is trying to make Blitz out to be the bad guy.. simply because we see Stolas go through it and be very emotional about the situation.. but.. that's just the way he expresses himself and part of what drives his actions. I personally think this show is excellent in pointing out where things went wrong WITHOUT making just one of them the one in the wrong. Both come from a past that molded them into who they are as people. As far as trauma goes (they both have quite a bit of it) they both respond to it differently.. Blitz is aggressive, Stolas avoidant. Blitz has been abandoned, Stolas has always been alone.. they both seek deep connections but they are both afraid of pursuing it. So.. they keep their relationship shallow. Which in turn leads to them not actually knowing each other all that well.. even if they do feel connected. So y'know.. if you care to look into it.. all the information is there as to why things are going the way they are. And it's from both sides. I just.. I love seeing how thought out their whole relationship is.. and their past experiences and their personalities plays such a huge part in both their conflicts and why they actually have a connection to begin with.. it's great. It's awesome seeing a couple treated with this much respect in fiction

I played this video on repeat for WEEKS after it came out, @Mattables. The first time I listened to it I clasped both hands over my mouth so I would not make ANY noise while watching it because I wanted to hear every delicate nuance, tiny sound effect, and Bryce's emotions coming through the headphones. The original fan-written and sung song was longer and at the time was written while Octavia was worried her dad would leave her for Blitzø (Loo Loo Land). Viv heard the song, contacted ParanoidDJ about using it with some edits that applied to the latest storyline and PDJ was also hired as the official Sound Designer for the video. I definitely caught the edits while listening since I knew the original song but this version works so well with what is going on in the storyline and it crafted so stunningly. Bryce (Stolas) recorded it nine months before actually seeing the final product and was gobsmacked by the artistry the animators put into this music video. Note: that 360 spin around Stolas while he holds the tiny moon was an animation masterpiece in of itself. I suspect you will watch this a LOT and start picking up on all the nuance the animators put into this masterpiece, and I encourage you to do so. The crystal box closing sound is subtle and on the beat, Stolas walking through the water puddle with those sound effects sending chills up your spine, the reflection in the water of the star-Blitzø touching Stolas but that is not what is happening when you pull to the real scene, the Red String of Fate binding them together - all these little moments to cherish. FYI: Viv has said Stolitz is the end-game, but the fans know these two goofbballs need to get their shits together and have some honest reality checks with each other. Also, note how the moon started off small and accessible in Stolas' hands, and ended being so large and just far enough away Stolas could not even get close enough to touch it anymore. And did not that water toward the end rock your socks off? Whoa! Yes, I have analyzed this video a LOT.

In the visuals of the song, the moon growing larger represents Stolas' love for Blitz growing out of his control and becoming a larger part of his life; Blitz is no longer merely a plaything for Stolas, but someone Stolas cares deeply for. And the moon growing further away from Stolas could represent Blitz pushing people away and seeking emotional isolation due to his self-hatred, trauma, and depression. He feels like he makes the lives of everyone around him worse.

We all feel the same way, Stolas loves Blitz so genuinely and truly wants to do right by him, it's impossible not to root for him. I want them both to be happy. And this is a necessary first step! They can't have a relationship as equals with the book in the way. But this music video made me nervous, because the Blitz in this beautiful song is an imaginary one inside Stolas' head. I'm not sure Stolas remembers that the real Blitz hasn't been on this journey of romantic self-reflection with him. The real Blitz hasn't talked to Stolas in months. (And may not ever have shared his feelings honestly, beyond that painful exchange after Ozzie's.)

If you think about it this story is about two “people” that want to be together but because of multiple reasons such as class system, daddy issues, trauma, lack of understanding relationships, self worth/self loathing, communication skills and more. It will be hard for them because what a lot of people forget is that we the viewer gets both sides of their stories and past. Stolas, outside of being married to Stella seems to have had a good life while Blitz has so much wrong things happen in his life with most of it being his fault.

This song got me crying the most. I've re watched it too many times now lol. I hope you and your partner find ways for you to be overly emotional. It sadly really dragged me down that my ex didn't want any affection and felt I was smothering them but now the person I'm with I can release that energy happily and I pray you two can work that out because I feel us overly affectionate souls need to be able to release that without someone telling us its not something they want. I feel like your partner is probably more accepting than mine was (they introduced you to theses series if I remember right) so I pray they have a bit of that hidden in them. This music video is so wonderful with its story telling. The moon represents Blitz. First small and no more important than the rest of the stars. Then Stolis noticed the moon and it revolved around him as Stolis ignores everything else in the galaxy. The moon leaves the orbit getting bigger and bigger. Blitz becoming more and more. Til the final part, "I will try to make amends, for making you means to an end", and the moon is so big that Stolis can't even reach it anymore. The small insignificant moon that revolved around Stolis has become a large presence that won't be controlled by him any longer.

both sides are understandable because we - the audience- are shown way more than the 2 interact and tell each other. The actual interactions and dialogue are actually pretty small so far regarding their intentions and feelings and remember how Stolas behaved towards Blitz in the beginning - he showed at the beginning only interest in satisfying his needs from Blitz's POV (all the beep dialogue of what he wants to do with Blitz). We see in recent episodes that he tries to soften this with proposals like cuddling but the way Blitz responded to that shows that he is deeply traumatized and therefore can not accept Stolas offer at the time responding with: "Stolas don't act as if what we have is anything more than YOU wanting ME to f*ck you". Stolas did not correct that in any way at the time. He hears the words but can not believe in it - thinking these are lies. Also Matt I don't know if you are familiar with VRChat(on steam). There you can go into 3D worlds as a first person and interact with other people around the globe in amazingly created worlds - it is also really nice to schedule meet ups with your gloobal friends. There you find a lot of cool galaxy like worlds and also if you are interested they've rebuild a Hazbin Hotel. They even include games you can play in some worlds. I think it would be awesome to experience this with your girlfriend. It is pretty cool - it is literally like virtually cosplaying with either a standard avatar(free) or a customized avatar. You can do this as trial on PC or use the VRCHAT gear where you can gear up to all your joints to move like a real person in these worlds. Just wanted to share this with you since you said you would like to visit galaxy like environments. This is the closest you can get at the moment and VRChat exploded during Covid since a lot of people put their everything into these worlds where they can hang out with their friends.
