A few things that have helped to control my hair fall include: (1) I stopped wearing ponytails because it leds to tension breakage. (2) I started massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while bending over & holding my head upside down to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Covering my head while moving out to shield my hair from dust and pollution. (4) Using gentle shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.

I’m a fan of Liitllexttra. I ordered various products from them and they they gave me best results. I tried this cocoonion shampoo and hair oil and it has worked wonders in reducing my hair fall.

Great video as always Matt! I 100% agree with you 'Start asap and give it time'. I regret that I limped along until I was 48 before I took Fin. My hairline has slowly gone back since my early 20s and my crown started to go around age 42 (when I got married again Haha ). It always bothered me but not enough to do anything about it, once I started watching you and a couple of other guys I went for it. I started to see results after around 4 months and experienced no shedding or sides. My crown has gone from 2 inch bald patch to looking like its only just starting to go. I've been on it 2.5 years (last 6 months dropped to 0.5 mg a day for my own testing purpose and still the same). Finasteride has covered my crown to over 90% pre-balding and has thickened the rest but not done anything for my temples although I am not surprised. After 2 years on Fin I decided to try Minoxidil on my temples only and it started working after 2-3 months giving me around 200 hairs which I assume are ones I lost in the last couple of years. I guess I'm a very good responder to both treatments but if I'd started even in my early 30s I'd have saved so much more. Sorry for the long post matey but I wanted to share an older guys experience - Love & Light

@@Matthew-zf3mw Hey thanks, In terms of sides the only thing that I have noticed was a bit less semen when I was on 1mg per day although on 0.5 mg per day its back to normal. Of course this might just be me but either way it wasn't an issue. The only reason I reduced to 0.5 mg per day was to see if it worked and it does. Best of luck!

Hi Matt, great video. I’m 18 years old and have recessions on the temples and want to try and catch it early. I’m thinking about using finasteride but I’m hesitant after hearing some peoples stories. What’s your opinion? Thanks
@letsgethair4 жыл бұрын
You can go with Minoxidil 5% for some time until you´ll feel more finasteride-ready. I recommend the foam version if you only want to use it on your temples. It´s not going to spill over your forehead. The second option would be to start with FInasteride right away after consulting it with your physician. The dose could be as low as 0.25mg per day. Additionally, I would do a male hormone test + sperm count test and sperm motility test before and 1 year after Finasteride just to make sure there are no abnormalities Finasteride is causing. Usually the guys who hear about Finasteride for the first time from reading negative experiences online are the ones who´ll be the most hesitant to take it. Guys who hear about Finasteride from a Finasteride prescribing physician rarely have issues with taking it. But I understand your concerns. Good luck

Minox is only a band-aid treat, Matthew. You need to stop the hair follicle miniaturizing due to DHT, which is where a 5-alpha-reductase comes in - finasteride being the most popular and FDA approved. I’d recommend starting with this and adding a keto shampoo and avoiding minox until you’re older. Any gains or maintenance you make on minox will be lost very quickly when you stop using it. The sides on fin are quite rare when you look at the numbers.

I’m using minoxidil 5% and if I added fin now, would it worked ? I’ve used min for nearly 2 years
@litjellyfish4 жыл бұрын
You have changed a lot since starting this channel. I would summarize it that you finally went on the FDAs and it shows they work. Personally all the other treatments have only improved my scalp health and hose in general. Which is a great addition. But they do not stop Hairloss. Finasteride does.

I had some severy costochondrites from Finasteride after 4 months of 0.5 every day. Honestly I never believed in Finasteride side effects, and I recommended it to many friends. To be honest at this point i am off it for around 3 months and i still have some pain when i try to do some workout....That said I will probably try CB-03-01 as I am already on minoxidil and i know that its effect wont last forever.

Hey Matt, great video. I’m on 0.5 mg fin, feeling fine, my question is should I move to 1mg, are the effects very different in your experience ?
@litjellyfish4 жыл бұрын
How long have you been on it? I would say give it 6-12 moths to see if it works. If not go up to 1mg and do the same.
@trashbat73314 жыл бұрын
0.5 is more than enough. You can get away with taking even a quarter only a few times a week but if you're OK with half and getting results maybe just stick to that.
@letsgethair4 жыл бұрын
No, I don´t think you´ll notice a big difference. How long have you been using 0.5mg?
@zivkodanicic42214 жыл бұрын
@@letsgethair Hey thank you guys for the replies. I started finasteride Jan 1, 2020 and I was playing around with the dosages. At first I started 1mg a day for 2 months, then moved to quartering proscar pills but took them 4x a week. I did that up until June, then took a month off of fin just for experimental reasons to understand if there were effects on my body. Came back on in July at 0.25mg EOD, and then just built it up from there, eventually 0.25mg every day, then in August moved up to 0.5 mg EOD, and now I'm on 0.5mg every day. Sorry I know this sounds like a lot, but it really wasn't... just me making sure I understand what works for me. In terms of effects, I'm not entirely sure what its doing for my hair, Im a NW2 and I don't believe it'll recover the hair that has recessed at the hairline, but Im pretty sure it will do well to maintain everywhere else, so I want to be sure that 0.5mg is adequate enough to do that, which according to you guys and a lot of other places I'm reading it is enough. In terms of sides, I feel like I may have experienced some aches in my stomach when I was on proscar, but right now on 0.5mg a day of generic finasteride theres nothing. I've been sexually active with my gf all this time and have no problems. So healthy relationship with it so far. Hope this helps anyone else reading too.

Hi Matt, I'm 24. Can I ask if I buy finastride and use it at my age now and prevent further hair loss then how will I know what areas of my hair/head could or would need a transplant in the future? As I'm unsure if using finastride for 10-20+ years is realistic. I'd really appreciate a reply if you aren't too busy. Thanks and keep up the great vids!

hey Matt, which minoxidil would you recommend? I had asked my clinic, which had recommend to me Regaine. What would you say, regaine or liquel minoxidil or which brand?
@letsgethair4 жыл бұрын
I personally liked the foam solution the most. It dries very quickly. Some guys need a Propylene Glycol - Free version because their skin gets irritated. But I wouldn´t worry about this unless I experienced some skin irritation. And also, use the 5% one, not the 2% one of course. No matter which brand you use, the most important ingredient in it is Minoxidil 5%
