Back in 2006 he did the Vicarious drum cover.. there was not much on watching Danny play it on recorded video. Then this guy popped up..Still one of the best covers done of the song to this day
@sugarlandscott15 жыл бұрын
2:20 - 3:50 = magic! We all know he can outright play, but the ability to capture every friggin detail and intricacy from what are widely held to be some of the most technical and creative pieces out there just boggles the mind, imo. I come back again and again, and will continue to do so. Keep jamming in 2010 Matter!

Man, sync this video up with the studio version of the song, turn the volume down on matter's track.....then realize what this dude has done. NAILED IT. Great job, matter...

Dude, I hope you are in a band. It's fun to sit around and play along but you really should put your talent to work. I really liked what you did in the quiet part in the middle of the song. Wayu to own that great song by one of the best drummfers ever. Excellant work my friend.

Haha, I love the 'woo' face you made at 0:32 after you noticed that in the original recording there was an accent on the china. Amazing playing as usual, what you did in the middle of the song (where there are no actual drums) was perfect. Hope to see more Tool vids soon!

Wow man, nice work. I've always been a huge fan of Carey's sound (his fills are always so tasteful) but just don't play that "hard"... it's interesting watching someone play this song with a more relaxed feel. And watching you helped me hear the kick part better. "Syncopated heartbeat" is what my brain kept telling me and it was almost right.
@imnosferatu16 жыл бұрын
fuck dude, again your ears are spot on, honestly you have such a good ear for songs, you nailed this right spot on, also digged the improv, Keep on kicking ass man _b

Danny plays with his snare off all the time. He said he usually only puts the snare on durring the chorus..sometimes. Its in an interview in the all Tool Revolver magazine.

Someone who sees the light!!! I got so upset by people praising tbartels that I actually made this account just so I could post my thoughts... tbartels has nothing on Matter311's playing. Tbartels rushes, slacks/drags is sloppy and overplays. Matter is clean, smooth and fluid...

I can't stand watching this guy... His stool is a officechair, he is fat and looks like Ron Jeremy in this vid, although, the drumming is excellent and the toms sounds just... ahh indescribable! When it comes to Tbartels vids the sound quality isnt as good, and his drums dont sound as good, yet his videos are far netter since he really puts energy into the drumming, and is entertaining to watch playing. There, said it. I WIN!
