It just goes to show the difference in performance in this stuff that often looks very similar on the outside and what we see in tech markets , and now we see in front of our eyes on your video the junk to good stuff ratio :) , and the truth is this is probably the tip of the iceberg . Well done sir.

Been using some of these adapters and there’s a small but irritating pet peeve I have with most of them that do not angle the adapter at 90º. Being an adapter for portables we use them in constraint spaces very often so it really does matter. I really wish big brands will make this standard or an always available alternate. Oh, thanks for this review. I’m really liking the breath of your considerations and process. Some from the bin, I might take (but only because for a specific purpose). Cheers man!

I was watching this video, since I’m looking for a USB C hub for my new iPad Air. I just received the Hyperdrive 6in1 hub for iPad Pro and I’ve got to admit, that I think it feels a bit cheap. It would be absolutely awesome if you could make a video about the best hub for tablets and phones with USB C! But otherwise, I think I’m just gonna go with the Baseus Hub that you also mentioned in this video.

Fascinating. It's such a treasure trove of information and, as a geek, I have to say that it is such a FUN entertaining video. I actually have a Samsung T5 SSD hooked up to my current USB hub. I've noticed my hub makes a hissing noise when I'm heavily using it and it also stores all of my games and footage so it needs to run very well. I see the one I have on your table on the right. In my search for a new hub for the MacBook Pro M1 I put my "must have" ports and they are: DP or HDMI 4K@60hz, 1 USB-A 5 Gb and 2 USB-c 10Gb it also must have Power delivery and certified for PD 3.0. With the M1 now offering USB4 I find there are only two hubs available and they are 149 CAD, or thereabouts. I want my price to be below 100 CAD. Most hubs promise 4K display at 30Hz, have you ever seen the lag and the stutter? Even just power point presentations suffer from lag when changing slides. So that is no option for me. I had TB3 in my office but there are so many incompatibilities with external monitors that it is a laughing matter. Your review has helped me at least look at the mobile options and the thorough review is much appreciated, I just do not know where to go to find the proper hub for office and maybe, in the future, travel.

My team at work had OWC docks from our IT department and we had various issues with monitors and I ended up finding the pluggable which had the right connectors we wanted to simplify the monitor setup (we all run dual display, and don't really do much disk reading) so it worked well. Now I am shopping for a portable one for my new iPad Air, so I need a headphone jack, but for some reason so many of the options just don't include it and include stuff I probably will never need on an ipad. Kinda frustrating. All the ones with double connectors are out, some of the ones with single connector won't fit if you have the keyboard case on so you need a special cable to attach it then.
