@rpsnider855 жыл бұрын
He is just a fast kid. He's also an anomaly. Not because he's white, but because of how fast he is. Him being white will indeed put asses in seats and have eyes glued to the televisions, but truly that's unimportant. He is a physical freak. But we all love anomalies, we just do, Tiger. EMINEM, etc. We all love having our expectations pleasantly subverted. While I agree that there's no real racial reason why he wouldn't be fast, it's an old stereotype that was never actually true. It just seemed to be, 20 years ago I was in HS on the track team decimating opponents of all races in the sprint events, until I ripped my quads and knee to shit goofing off during a practice in the snow. The stereotype is lasting though, it's just one of those things. But the true story is about what an absolute monster the kid is, regardless of his skin, we definitely agree on that.

Would be within a second or so, but football players should take it if they had a few reps to practice handoffs.
@ryanphelps22965 жыл бұрын
@@davidhofmayer1031 Him running a 400 would destroy those guys in a 4x100. They have to slow down and hand off the baton 3 times. Plus they don't know how to race, they just know how to run. He's conditioned to run fast for all distances. He would crush them.

@@ryanphelps2296 it's amazing how one could post literally ANY comment and there will always be a know it all who will say something completely outrageous - and with 100% confidence at that! Lol. I honestly I think it would be a close race , and I don't know who would win. You're forgetting a lot of football players actually ran the 4x1y in High School so they probably have some experience. But, I don't think any of us knows for SURE who would win, except you of course, but there are a couple of things you said that are just foolish. If passing the Baton off slows things down, then that would mean that 4 X1 relays would be slower than a single person running a 400 - which is obviously not the case! In addition, a person cannot train to be fast across all distances. I'm not even going to take the time to debunk that one. That's just not the way the body or conditioning works.

Running 9.98 as a high school student, he would have finished 7th in the finals of the 2016 Olympic 100 mtrs. I hope Georgia makes a Carl Lewis out of him (100, 200, LJ (he has an awesome long jump too), relay). He's definitely got the talent base for being that level of athlete. Put em in pads and cleats. Throw em on the field, and football players win it. You never challenge an elite in their territory. Racing a track dude on the track is akin to wrestling an alligator in the water. You're far more likely to win on your turf, but just like wrestling an alligator on land, only the exceptional football players could beat him even on there own turf.
