He was the first Australian man in 24 years to reach the 400m Olympic final. At Stanford in 2013, he established a new freshman record in the 400m. In 2014, he set a new Stanford record in the outdoor 400m with a time of 45.36, and ran a 500m in 1:01.44 (the third-fastest time in the world to that point). You can also use Michael Norman as an example. In 2018 he ran an Indoor NCAA record and World record of 44.52 and then ran an NCAA outdoor record of 43.61, which was also the best time in the world. Oh and he was also 20 years old like Boling.
@mj33323 жыл бұрын
Those are optimistic far fetched comparisons and only time will show but there running styles and bodies are totally different giving Norman the advantage. Norman ran 44.52 indoors which would beat Boiling by 10 meters! At 19 He was also named the 2016 National Gatorade Track Athlete of the Year. That year running 10.27 in the 100m, 20.14 in the 200m and 45.19 in the 400m. Boiling's best 200m is 20.55. Norman's best 200m is 19.84, 100m 9.86 400m 43.45! Boiling is know where in the ball park of those times.

As a previous 400m runner I can actually comment this. His performance is great I won’t deny it. Having so less exp on this field this result is tremenodus. Personally I Hope to see 2nd J.Warinner. But.. coparing this run to winnig gold medal on world stage is a long shot.. many people may ask why.. because many factors like pressure, copetitors, stage of competition. We have seen this before.. I look forward to see his progression

Every year there are hopefuls in every sport, track and field is no exception. Promising athletes often top out at their personal talent level but are never able to distinguish themselves as record holders. I'm holding off on praising M.B. too highly until faster times present themselves. I wish him success in all his efforts but don't want to give him more praise than is proper for winning contests. He is promising but at the moment that is the only thing I can credit him with. Records always fall to quicker runners but we'll have to wait for the joy of celebrating those events with the winners, when they happen.
