People tend to only focus on the harsh vocals and not on the actual music. No matter how many times I play bands like Trivium and Killswitch that has a ton of clean vocals, they ignore it until the harsh vocals come in then go "this is why I don't like metal it's nothing but yelling". And I really do believe we live in a musically dumb generation. People want simplicity and catchy, and there's nothing wrong with simple and catchy, but it doesn't give much room for complex music creators.

Matt introducing all of us metalheads to the word “genuflect”. Such an epic word and it goes so damn well. It flows perfectly with the transition. Been listening to Trivium since highschool when Ember to Inferno came out. Always connected with them lyrically and musically; being the same age probably helps as well haha, but they’ve always been one of my top 3 bands of all time. Seeing them live at Lupos in 2006 with lamb of god and gojira was amazing. Even got to meet Matt & Corey with my two other friends. Would post the pics if I could haha. Love ya Matt!

Too Lit Mafia is the guy who got me to Reactionist. His story is quite nice, as a guy who reacted only to Hip-Hop/Rap songs. He then went on to Signal Fire from Killswitch and that brought him to Metal. Since then he became metal fan as all of us :) . If you want go and watch that reaction, its hilarious :D
