Is there a specific brand or product you recommend? Because I have a guitar Trivium signed that I'm afraid to play. I live in a rural area and I couldn't find a shop to coat it in polyurethane for me.

@@praetorxyn I could not tell, but pu wpuld not fiz it because in order for any liquid paint to anchor on any surface, that sirface needs to be sanded. But any transparent vinyl would do, you can probably choose a matte or a glossy one

It would have to be 'fixed' by static touch, and the plastic might affect the lacquer anyway. It'd be best to leave them as they are imo.

For all of the people asking about the Deans, there was a 7 String Rising Sun and a 6 String. The 7 String is the one that fell off the drum riser and broke the headstock off. Matt then donated that to a charity in Japan. The 6 String Prototype Rising Sun you've seen in past videos and streams he traded with a friend of his (Paul Terry, or Metalplums on Twitch) not too long ago for a couple of Aristides guitars (the one with the Floyd, and the Silver Sparkle 7, as seen in this video) Hopefully this clears up most of peoples questions saying "Where are the Deans, Matt?" "We know your hiding them", trust me I used to be one of those people

Been following Trivium since 2003, when Ember to Inferno came out. This guy is just amazing. Corey, Paolo, you're just beasts in the game too. They just fucking slay everything when Trivium's music starts playing. By the way, Catastrophist is just damn incredible, it reminds me of a lot of your songs from other albums and just fits right into your style. Alex Bent is another beast of a drummer. He's made such good work too. Just keep doing what you do and you'll have my freaking heart you boys. Really thankful because you helped me embrace life and happiness and fight like the titans you are. Thankful aswell for you guys taking the time to do a Meet & Greet in Barcelona back in 2017, I was there and the second in the M&G and just being right next to you it made me feel so freaking good I won't forget it. I still have the photo! I'll never forget that moment to be honest. So the only thing I could say is thank you, thank you for all, Trivium.

these hints on new guitar and head models have me sitting on savings, even though i've been sitting on them for a long while. it was fun to look into all the crazy history and quality your collections of guitars have. my les paul is out of commission for a while so a schecter demon 7 is all i have for now. i'll rock it happily though. i'm trying to learn some trivium songs, but they are beyond what i do in any garage jam or noodling at home. it's a fun long term goal though. learning a lot, albeit slowly, along the way. much love matt!

Just out of curiosity where are all of your and Corey's dean's? My first guitar that was ever truly mine, i practiced my ass off on some piece of garbage to get my Dad to buy me a Dean Razorback 255 because i saw you guys playing them during the crusade era, and obviously dime bag, but the fact that i went with the razorback was definitely influenced by Trivium. I thought that white and gold razorback was just killer looking, as well as both you and Corey's signature models with dean, and ive always wondered what happened with those guitars, and also what the story is in general between Trivium and Dean, because the signatures came out, and then it all just disappeared, and to my knowledge, Trivium nor Dean have still never really talked about it. In fact id love to see a video where we get to hear that story. Like whats up with the Dean thing? ya know? haha

I love my Epiphone MKH LP Custom Black 6string! It's made me a better guitarist. I went from a $100 Dean to this $900 beast! lol.. Crazy! I'm not a huge fan of Trivium.. I like 3 or 4 songs.. pull harder and ascendancy.. I appreciate Matt's guitar playing very well done and he knows his guitars! In Flames is my favorite band..
