It takes mindfulness. Mathew was able to be really present and say no to million-dollar offers at hand just to “unbrand”. That a different offer would come was never guaranteed but he knew what he wanted in that moment and stuck to it. 👍🏽👍🏽

Love this! "The joy of Being, which is the only true happiness, cannot come through any form of possession, achievement, person or event - through anything that happens. That joy cannot come to you - ever. It emanates from the formless dimension within you, from conciousness itself and thus is one with you who are." - Eckhart Tolle

Thankyou Jay and Matthew! I have listened to this interview twice now on Stitcher and once on KZbin. This would have to be one of my favorite interviews I have ever had the privilege to hear. Much love and many thanks to both of you for being the great loving, open and honest human beings that you are.

This is my fourth video I’ve found with Matthew McConaughey and I’ve been listening to them with my headphones while doing stuff around the house. Super inspirational stuff. But this is the first channel/video with adds. Maybe the others had one or some throughout but not enough to notice. When you don’t have your phone by you to fast forward it does get annoying. I’m only 11:39 minutes in and listening to the second long one 😼

Matt is certainly a great actor, these two speak a lot of sense. It’s the wisdom of the world, is he a Christian?, has he really personally confessed Christ as his saviour. I can not see this in any of his speeches and I’ve listened to him a lot. (Matt that is). These men have the wisdom of the world but don’t know Christ, and Christ himself is the wisdom of God, 1 Cor 1 v 24, 30. It’s the book we live by.

I'm sure most people can find something they can use from the subjects on this interview. However, Matthew as much as I enjoy your movies and your talents as an actor. What your saying here is pretty much common knowledge depending how you were raised and what kind of socio economic environment you grew up in. The world is not a nice place to grow up in, especially during the time when some but not all children start school to when they leave it. Parents, if they are there for the kids can provide only so much guidance and understanding. What they are when they start out is not always what they are when they leave it. Not all will make it through for various reasons. For those lucky enough to have wealthy well off families that send their kids to private schools, they have a better chance to be molded into someone more stable and secure. Unfortunately our society is structured in such a way that trying to be successful is no easy task for some cultures. There are so many hurdles to jump for kids as they are growing up and some of those hurdles are so high that they can never get over them and for those who can't, they reach their peak because as you know our society is set up this way. It continues even after leaving school because then they go into the real world of competing minds and will face the realities that will shape their futures. Sometimes its about the have's and have nots whether its money, intelligence, IQ, character etc that enable some to get through it. Its an imperfect system that has existed as long as mankind has been on the earth. This is the problem with mankind and people in general. Those with power and money whether it be political or corporate. They are the ones who play a big role in the way our society functions as a people. It's not a totally bad thing but it is what it is and will always be that way.
