I have all of the same stuff that you have in the video (H6/Mogami/SM7B) and I like them all. I also use and I'm experimenting with the differences between using the "Cloudlifter" and the dbx 286s or a combination of both. "Sweetwater" has taken a lot of my money over the past couple years! 😂

Great mic! Is this replacing the Rode NT1?

I need to do some experimenting. I really like my Rode NT1. Going to be doing a lot of music recording soon as well so I wanted a good dynamic mic for the studio to compliment my Rode NT1 condenser mic. Also, thinking the Shure SM7B will be good for live streams, and possibly interviews in the future.

honestly, i started streaming with a cheap mic from tonr from amazon. its not neccesary but if you really want to you can spend the money on the mic. if you wanna watch a streamer her name is Kalei on twitch and she uses this mic

cool microphone , weird design that does not allow isolation/shock support from a stand/arm though and no carry/protection case in the box. it does have a really nice sound though.

Yeah, it is a great sounding mic. Definitely would want to get some kind of case for it if you wanted to travel with it. I would be nervous about the little cable that connects the mic to the connector.

I'm looking at fake SM 7B videos trying to learn the difference. Where did you buy your microphone? It seems that one of the telltale signs is the top cap where the XLR connects, should be more than rounded on real SM7B .. Also, the little rubber caps that hold the wire into the body are easily removed on the fake.. The diaphragm under the windscreen is closer to the tip on a fake as well...
