Beautiful Fokker 100 Take-Off at Bern - coolest Pilots EVER!!

Good old 1992-built Fokker 100 9A-BTE of Trade Air is seen taking-off at Bern in Switzerland bound for Pisa, Italy on a foggy winter day. The pilots opened the window to wave to me - so very cool! One of my best aviation moments for sure :)
Listen to the absolutely awesome Rolls-Royce Tay 650 engine sounds! The take-off was without flaps which is amazing but the aircraft was light due to its short ferry flight to Pisa. Enjoy the video!

The pilot of this Fokker, Captain Tomislav is the best in every way. First of all as a man and a friend and certainly as an excellent pilot. A beautiful gesture. I know him personally and I can freely say that I did not expect anything less from him. I wish him many, many more happy flights, to him, his crew and his passengers.

Years ago at D/FW airport in Texas they had an observation area and the pilots and some passengers would wave when they taxied by about 70 yards away and the kids would go crazy with excitement. I'll admit even as an adult it was cool to have pilots wave at you.

Yes it is a wonderful aircraft. This one entered service in 1992 with American Airlines as N1431B and was sold to Trade Air in 2005.

So departure was with standard Flaps 0 as we have a much better climb gradient and low TOW. 99%of of departures are made in this configuration. Quite often question regarding this nice bird. See ya 02 and 03.12. At the same place. Regards, Tomislav
