As someone who’s purchased and learned over 100 of Francesco’s arrangements over the last 3-4 years, I can say that yes he seems to always write his arrangements in the key of the original song (though he often changes the key partway through to make it interesting). He is also capable of writing extremely difficult arrangements, but keeps most of them just attainable enough for people like me (amateur pianists) to learn, which I really appreciate and which I think keeps us coming back to buy more arrangements. He manages to keep them interesting and beautiful while also learnable for many people.

Thanks for sharing your feedbacks, Matthew! I'd love to hear your thoughts about some more complex arrangements in my collection, such as Jurassic Park, America and Chariots Of Fire! 😉

I've downloaded a few of his sheets - his stuff is very challenging a put some of it on the back burner to come back to later. He has by far my favorite cover of Against All Odds! ❤ Thanks for this Matt!

I just finished learning his cover of yellow, it definitely came with its challenges but I’m only 3 years in and a long way to go.

You should react to Sangah Noona. It's a very different approach to Francesco Parrino, it's not about coming up with a particular arrangement to impress people, but more the improvised nature and freedom that she has in her playing. She plays pop, jazz, anything that she is requested, but always playing in the style she feels like on the moment (you really appreciate her talent through seeing the sheer number of songs that she plays, how she can play the same song again in a completely different way, without any preparation). Her control of dynamics is outstanding. And her sense of rhythm is out of this world too.

He has EXTREME self control I mean I’m sure he can play anything but all his arrangements are so approchable to play

Yes. I was thinking the same thing. Peter Bence…Michael Jackson.

Hey nice video, I like your analysis of all these different pianists cause they kinda help me in my playing too, giving me different techniques to choose from. I'm trying to get into arranging but I feel like i'm limited so these really come in handy. You should try covering Sofiane Pamart a French/Moroccam composer who writes modern classical some very technical but some more emotional, pieces like Medellin, Me, Nara, Chicago give an idea of his range as a composer. Great video anyways

Hi! I don’t if it’s a good idea for a video but i’d really love to see you playing some ost from silent hill 2 like “promise” (not reprice) and “theme of laura” by ear. Maybe you could turn it into a series like “music from games by ear”
