Great man! He really talked a lot about the “Church of God in Christ,” reminds me of my Grandma. Makes me question who do we love more? GOD or C.O.G.I.C. Let’s be careful not to idolize the denomination and remember the God of the denomination!

chcoal, Good Lord, you nailed! I never stepped FOOT in any COGIG church. But seeing this example has made me GLAD to have not stepped foot in one of those places! Man! Whew! Religion is deceptive Deceptive DECEPTIVE!!! That false identity makes you feel as if you are more godly than the Christ who SAVED you! And believe me, I speak from experience as a rescued sinner!You know, years ago, as a younger Believer, I was talking about another Believer to another godly friend. I was totally sharing my, yes, MY thoughts about the person. Just then, I had a thought shoot through my head: You are quoting scriptures, but you are NOT quoting the words in red! BAM!!! 👊!!! The Lord convicted me in a language I understood: i.e. you are sharing God’s words but WITHOUT Christ’s anointing!😮!!! I stopped in mid-sentence and repented before the Believer and before the Lord God Almighty!

I feel at least one or more of the daughters were stewing a little bit if this was really meant to be the eulogy. This isn’t a eulogy, it’s a encouragement. We want to hear about the person we’ve come to honour and all she’s done not that just that you put her in that role and now someone is taking over.

Camren Thomas, Well there you go. I guess you know them by their fruits, which are evident in this clip! From what I saw in this video, I think of the words Mess-up rather than Bishop! Note to self, and anyone else interested, when sharing at a funeral, how about leaving yourself at the door and honor the one being laid to rest, solely. Pathetic!
@JustAThought1554 жыл бұрын
@RomelJackson, Hey, you are familiar with church services? Let me ask you a question, godly one. What does “tf” mean? Let me ask this, does that fall under a COGIC acronym, Believer? Romel Jackson, the Christ-like peacemaker. Thanks brother, or whatever you are, for your godly way of sharing what a Christian funeral service is like. I guess you, and especially since others who viewed a video of a god fearing Believer’s funeral service “Liked” your comment, you all must reflect the type of people who listen to Dr. Mattie Moss Clark’s music and message. So I say, good job of being “salt and light” to a dark world. Thank you. By the way, WWJD? 😢😢😢😢

I disagree with the statement of preachers working in the music department. I know plenty of preachers who sing as well. Idk why so many preachers feel as if you should only focus on preaching when you can use other areas of ministry to get God's word out. God pours the anointing out on those who are willing to carry out the mission, not just preachers.
@gerrellewilson92286 жыл бұрын
Amen, my granddaddy and my great granddaddy was Pentecostal bishops, but he was a anointed preacher and singer, who understands that music is a uprising of God presence to be in his house.

Working in the music dept and being a president or Vice President is two different things. He was referring to being in leadership and it is very taxing and will take a lot of time away from preaching.
