Everything is weird, but it all makes some twisted sense. - First, you keep your progress in the pages mini-games (unless you game over). You go back in and just resume from where you were with full hp again. A lot of them are quite hard to do in a single try. - Jumping over stuff defeats most of them. Also, mailboxes give items, basket ball gives a skate board. - The key to surviving is gaining more Zs, which you can get the blue Z flying around, if you hit them with a bubble gum. Alternatively, the easier way to get more Z is to ride the skateboard, you thus gain Zs every few seconds until you hit something and crash (the crash doens't hurt you). - Shooting the TV with a watermelon seeds always spawns a page near you. - Lise turns you into a frog, the old lady kiss cures the frog, saxophones drop notes that make you walk backwards, Skinner gives you the Sunday suit that makes you invincible until you hit a patch of dirt but makes you walk slower. - Also, if you find a pillow, you get a continue. - That's the gist of it. It's really a trial and error sort of game. Clearly not great, but I had fun with it as a kid.

I remember completing escape from camp deadly multiple out of sheer perverse stubbornness when some kid traded it to me for a juice box, without telling me what cursed object it is. It’s clearly a passionless cash grab, uses references with little to no context, and yet has this consistent element of strategy to hoarding pickups and banking lives to tank unavoidable damage.

Bart's nightmare, bart vs the space mutants, and Virtual bart were my childhood. In fact for whatever reason space mutants was the only video game ever that my mom liked and occasionally played. thumbs up, would nostalgia again.

Great video :) I have fond memories of this game (first one I bought for my snes with my own pocket money).. it has a few things to help though.. The blue Z's you can shoot gum at - you have to aim them to hit the goal posts at the top of the screen and you get an extra life! Makes the game MUCH more playable.

Temple of Maggie - found out after YEARS you can scroll the screen left and right with the L R buttons - this makes maggie shoot her pacifier out making it much easier!

Yep, I had this game as a kid... I kind of hated it lol. The only level I was capable of beating was the underwater one. And then there was the Indiana Jones level which I didn't understand at all and would just die in the first 5 seconds. Awful. Luckily it was just a flea market pickup so it wasn't full price.
