To be fair, I think this was Logan’s best race this season, right? He was just knocked out of Q2 and managed to take back the position he started in by the end of the race. I know P15 isn’t good, but if you put it that perspective, it’s at least okay. Plus, he was kind of screwed over by team stuff too. I know Williams is kind of struggling financially, but they have Logan a car with parts from last year. I understand why they did that because of financial reasons and that they want to give the better car to Alex, but is just feels like Logan was snubbed out of a car that probably gotten him into(the very bottom) of Q2. His tire strategy was also weird too. I know a few teams kept the drivers on one set of tires throughout the race, but keeping Logan on the same set of hard after the restart was a shit idea because of the 2-tire compound rule. To be fair though, he would have had to pit anyway if they put him on mediums, obviously, but I feel like they also could have given mediums in the beginning anyway. I know they couldn’t predict the red flag, but Monaco is pretty notorious for chaos in recent years, so I feel like they could have gone into the race with the idea of early lap chaos = early pit stop would have been much more beneficial. Of course, I have the benefit of being a viewer only, so it’s easier for me to say what the could have/should have done than for them to do it, not knowing what the team wanted to do to run their race. Also, as an American, I’m obliged to love and defend Logan Sargeant, even though we all know how unfortunate it can be to admit that from time to time. I do think things could have gone better to give him a better result this weekend, but again, I’m only a viewer and have no say in the team’s strategy or anything. Anyway, I’m done writing my essay. Good ratings, as always! A few things tho: I'd probably give Oscar a 10 as well, simply because he drove basically the entire FP4 session with floor damaged picked up by Carlos grazing him after the first start. If there was any easy overtake for the top half of the field, Sainz had the opportunity. Piastri is lucky it was Monaco, like y'all said lol, but he did well to maintain his pace throughout the race, and I don't believe he "fell off" towards the end, either. I think he most likely was just settling for the P2 at that point, and possibly backing up Carlos to give his teammate more of a chance to overtake as well. One thing I didn't really understand was saying that Zhou "hasn't had any of the standout performances that midfield drivers like KMag have." He has had quite a few in the past few years. It's certainly been a bit, so I can see why many people would forget, but his P11 in Bahrain was a fantastic way to start this season. People probably remember it less because he missed out on the points, but let's not forget that no one DNF'd in that race. I remember Matt saying something along these lines, but I quote, "Had someone in the top ten retired from the race, then Zhou would be right there to pick up a cheeky little point."

It may be because the Monaco GP was the same day as Indy 500 but a potential solution to save the Monaco GP is to scrap the race altogether but make the qualifying more exciting... no doubt it takes skill to drive fast around Monaco, so highlight it. Maybe 1 car on track at a time and an average time over 3 or 4 consecutive laps... no traffic, drivers clipping the barriers with millimetre precision repeatedly (not just one lap), can they keep the tyres at optimal temp for more than 1 lap... maybe even have a "fastest 6" competition the next day like Indy 500 to mitigate some of the "rubbering in" advantages for the top points. The race doesn't show off driver skill (I wouldn't even rate Leclerc 10/10 over the weekend, qualifying yes but the race was just the bear minimum as it was for every other driver)

Albon has done more destruction this year on Williams development and Logan has inherited the problems. A more broken chassis and the 2023 rear wing. How can he show anything when he's been impacted by his teammate's actions? 🤷♀️ Not saying he's better than Alex, but being so harsh seems questionable

I'm confused. Matt said _Zhou finished last _*_again_*_ in quali,_ then Tommy says _he's getting a bit sick of Zhou _*_always_*_ finishing last in qualifying._ Later Tommy called Sargeant the _P-20 merchant_ because he *always* finishes 20th in quali. So which one of them -sucks more- is it? They both can't always finish last 😁

Are we really questioning Kevin “what do you have to gain” WHEN LITERALLY NO ONE MOVED. He had EVERYTHING to gain on the start. Just look at the rest of the race, even those that pitted couldn’t get past people (Max vs Russel). Again, either he passed him or he sat behind him all race. He went for the pass when there was a gap! You cannot argue against him and then make fun of the race for 0 overtakes.

i said multiple times...Both Haas were ahead of Perez if it wasn't for the DQ they got after the quali... Perez on the other hand...18 with a Redbull...means total Garbage. To this add the fact that the Sauber overtook him in T1 and here you have a Salty Perez . It wasn't his first time doing moves like this...he did the same to his team mate few years ago, and this time found KMAG who literally gives 0 shit . Could Kmag have avoided the crash? True. but the RULES say that Perez have to give him the space. Perez isnt even following the Racing line if you compare it to the cars ahead of him and kept squeezing him into the wall, if there were no walls he would've forced Kmag out of the track and that would've been a 10 second penalty for PEREZ simple as that. SO everyone blaming Kmag should first learn the sporting code and then get into racing themself...before blaming the only guy who literally tried to race. And Perez beating him anyway? No way mate. Perez was terrible all week and his decision making shows how washed he is.... in Imola he was going off track by himself, in Miami he almost killed his Team mate....but they keep saying he was the good one here....

@@Viktoronto But there kind of was, wasn't there? It was optimistic as all hell but there was a car-sized gap. I don't understand why Perez even left the door open tbh; why didn't he just drift half a car's width to the right and throw a defensive shape? I'm not saying it's Perez's fault either, but he did leave a gap when he didn't have to.

I watched Jolion Palmers. I’d and he explained the crash and why Kevin did what he did as that part of the track is classed as a straight and Perez did see him coming so should have given him more room. Perez would have had the inside run to the next corner anyway so would have been in front. I personally think Perez is under so much pressure to keep his seat that he does not want to be seen as losing to a HAAS as this makes him look unworthy of his Redbull seat.

Nico should be a solid 7. Haas should be a 0 for having car illegal. Magnueson should be 0 for taking out himself and teammate…but all Nico did was qualify solidly and make a great move on lap one past Perez….then crashed completely out of his control….so why is that a 5? He wasn’t average. He did nothing wrong. Everything he has control of he did above average. Did it well. Should be a 7 at minimum 6. I’ll say it again For what he had control over he did well.

I almost think that Merc are not so much a shadow of their former self, but just revealing issues that were always there on the operational side. I am pretty sure that Toto even straight up said during the 2010s that they don't bother training pit stops because the car is fast enough that they don't need to, which bit them in the ass at I want to say COTA last year? The car's lack of pace is simply revealing a lack of strategy, pitstops, communication etc. that I think was always there quietly in the background.

Piastri deserved a 10 otherwise you can never give a driver a 10 if he doesn't win. And if you're giving Kmag a 0. Who qualified around where his team mate did but overtook some before the crash you seem to attribute 80% fault to, surely Perez deserves a 0 for that bad qualifying, far behind team mate, bad start and 20% part blame of that crash.
@Andrea-vl6mf5 ай бұрын
Pretty sure that if PEREZ had hit Max in MIAMI all of you would give the Penalty to Perez instead of KMAG. But since KMAG has been an aggressive driver this season , yall are giving him the fault, when the dude was just racing and did not do anything wrong in that occasion other than expecting PEREZ to give him the space as he was entitled to it based on the sporting regulation. In any other Track Perez move would've forced Kmag out of track and that would have been a 10 sec penalty for Perez, but here we had a wall and the results were different. And still Do not forget that both Haas were faster than Perez in quali and he would've probably ended 18 anyway. But again you are the same one who were "enjoying" Kmag aggressivness towards Hamilton in Miami . Or when he was slowing down the field to give Hulkenberg the 10th place...

I not a K-mag or Checo fan, but looking at the onboard several times of both drivers, I can't see K-mag is at fault. He was going for a gap in apex nor was he dive bombing. And if you look at Checo's onboard, he has plenty of space on his left side (If you watch Hulk's onboard, he is behind checo, not even his front wing is alongside checo).
