Make sure you cut the throttle completely on the inverted yaw spins and it should be more floaty Edit: using dynamic idle then turning down your idle percentage will give you even more hang time.

Great tip, also the faster you spin the faster you fall. Try a slower yaw spin once you're inverted

The kwad actually spins 2 of the 4 props to create a yaw motion. So even if you go to zero throttle you'll have some acceleration towards the ground. It's difficult to incorporate into a flow as you typically need the extra height.

Much like other tricks, the magic to 360 yaw spins is just building momentum before you attempt it so you can cut throttle right away & just use your momentum to hold you upside down. Also how you get the juicy part of a juicy flick.

Great progress Video, usually day5 is a normal thing when learning new stuff. Close before mastering something your brain tries to sort everything out ending up with very bad results on that day right before making a huge progress step. Same is also true in school if you're precisely tracking performance of students

Inverted yaw spins were the bane of my existence for probably a months worth of trying to nail it. After a combo of higher rates, lower idle rmp, and lower camera angle it was way easier. Lowering the idle reduced the downward pull and making the camera closer to level made the motor plane closer to being parallel with the ground, dampening the wobbling feeling you tend to get. I still can’t really incorporate it into my flow really well. it always feels forced or like an afterthought, like I have to take time to line it up and don’t really know how to transition in/out of it from other moves.

I think you can do the inverted yaw spins smoother, if you start them with a half powerloop, that way you have more upward momentum, and it looks smother

I liked this video alot, it was very entertaining! Never seen you videos, so I subbed! 👍🏻 A thing that helped me doing powerloop was to hold the quad in my hand and emulate the power loop, while doing that looking at where the camera was pointed when I needed to go backwards, and then trying to visualize what the image in the goggles would look like at that point... Ohh and sure alot of practice too😅

8:14 inverted yaw spin doesn't have to be flat like a rubik's cube. You can power into it, you can shoot upwards and then roll into it and etc etc. Just go inverted somehow and do a spin where horizon is level. I usually roll into it which helps me to set the horizon more precisely level. You can also use roll when doing the spinning part just like doing a normal turn where you mix yaw and roll. That way you will have less wobble

Honestly, the easiest way to get better at freestyle is to just put hours and hours in the sim. I prefer Liftoff since the maps are the most diverse (I find each map lends itself to different skills in freestyle). No need to crash your drone or wait for batteries to charge, just get that muscle memory and it will transfer to real life with some fine-tuning.

My day 5 was like yours I just kept crashing and then all in a sudden on the next day, I felt I never had so much control over the drone and I nailed every spot where I crashed the day before. It feels like you didn't learn fpv flying step by step along the steep curve. You learnt that in one day.

All it takes is stick time. On the juicy flick if you slowly start to pitch back about 5 to 10 degrees when you go into the juicy flick it adds a little to it, also with the slow pitch back it comes as a bit more if a surprise. Wild Willie has a video showing this technique. I try to keep my rates at just a bit over 2 full roles per second(883) I like to have a little more stick than I need. The throttle blip before doing a trick low is essential to keeping the quad hanging just long enough to complete the trick. I don't know where your idle is at, but if it's too high the inverted yaw is tough, but you were doing really good with em. They look great when you do one as drop through a tree canopy then hit a gap. Your doing great!
