I was thinking the same thing! Usually there is always a little grimllen hiding waiting for the worst possible moment to show it's ugly little face!! They probably had a few bolts that needed to be tightened up, but that is just maintenance and doesn't count in my book LoL

Would they call that suspension articulation? Whatever they call it, it was epic. Incredible angles and in opposite directions sometimes, and keeping the tires in contact with the ground so all four wheels are pushing you forward. I think Matt mentioned that a lower crawl speed gear would have been good, but if that's all he could think of with a just completed major project, then that is a spectacular success in my book.

I would say Excellent overall, for a 1st major test run, Minus an exhaust pipe which can be shortened a few inches on each side, The gearing worked out great, while it may not be perfect or low enough etc, didnt fuss ( as you said ) too much at all... Might be 1 of the very few Car based Custom builds that have ever gone through so smoothly, Im sure It's going to turn a lot of heads on the trail's etc.

man, I've been hooked on this channel for the last few weeks and I love everybody on it. They have such great chemistry together and they do such awesome work with pulling people out of sticky situations and their fab skills are on point too. The best part is that they are all so modest about everything and seem so chill. Usually when you catch a channel about anything off road or shop related stuff it's all in your face, loud music, we're the baddest, OC choppers type horseshit. These guys are just fun and relaxing to watch as they do their thing. Cheers to Matt and his squad, yall seem like good people!

Two things: • This video series inspired me to nut-up & just start fabricating. Nobody can tell you "what will work" but you. Always amazed by how the camera flattens out Hells Gate. People don’t realize how steep that climb is in real life. Corvair made it look easy though, nice work boys!

The clearance that you have, on something with that long of a wheelbase, is actually impressive. Pushing the tires towards the corners really pays off when off-road.

what i love about the morrvair, is no matter the obstacle, everyone else is spinning and bouncing etc, then the morrvair comes and just rolls up, doesnt really spin, bounce, anything. it just makes everything look effortless. its amazing to watch

Yep, Matt is as happy as an early morning crowing rooster in the middle of a hundred laying hens in the barnyard. When a corvair moves that gracefully over hill and dale, it becomes referred to as a "SHE". So guess the future name might be a female name. I found MORR about six months ago and have been playing catch up ever since. Watched until I was caught up with, then, all the new stuff. Have gone back to start from the beginning. Very interesting to watch the channel progress and the MorrVair come to life. I'm looking forward to the creation of the tow truck now. You guys have great content! We often babysit our, almost 2 Y/O, grandson on Tuesdays. He has loves to sit on Poppas lap and watch the big yellow truck get trucks unstuck. Has his own yellow truck and loves playing with his trucks. He and his dad have started watching MORR when it's time for a little quiet/settle down time. The boy can't get enough!

I am a Land Cruiser fan and have had a 60 series Land Cruiser as a daily driver since 1984. I always felt that it was a perfectly proportioned vehicle. Matt your vehicles are all awesome! You def know what you’re doing with building and the driving part. I love the Morvair but the Best By far is the wrecker. I would love to see more videos of that. The jeeps nice to I’m just not a big keep guy but if you offered me the jeep I’m not gonna say no lol. My whole point is give yourself some credit and you’re def inspiring me and I bet a lot of others. I would love to own something like the wrecker or morvair and help people when they’re stuck or broke down. Love your videos keep it up!

I lived there for 15 years. Raised my kids there, it was awesome. Now it's so overrun it's not so pleasant. The town permits more than 10 new hotels every year. My friends call it hotel Moab. Then the city went and put a moratorium on air bnb's. It got pretty annoying living there.

@@brenthunsaker9042 My brother and I wanted to build a hotel there in the 80's before Moab started getting popular. The banks turned us down for a loan saying Moab was a dying town. There were only 3 or 4 hotels there at the time with a motel or two shut down for lack of business. We could see the change coming. A couple years later the hotels started popping up. Like you, other locals moved out because it wasn't quaint any more.

I was so happy to see that this video was longer than usual. Then I almost could not handle all the heart-pounding maneuvering. Your skills are amazing but I was still gasping every few seconds, it seemed. The scenery is fabulous. It's like being there. Happy that you enjoyed it and the Corvair performed so well.

After tuning in weekly to see the build videos, I really enjoyed seeing this video of the beast in action. Especially glad to see the safe run up and down Moab Rim because that one is scary even by bicycle. As was evident with the deaths on the 17th, that trail is no joke.
