Matt's Off Road Recovery

Come along with us as we complete two rescues!
The first one was a jeep liberty that lost its transmission on the Toquerville Falls Road. The road to Toquerville falls is very rough with a lot of elevation change. We found the customer about halfway to the falls and we were able to get them pulled up to a point where they were able to coast about half way out.
Sorry about the brakes on my jeep squeaking, the pads were wore down to a nub.
The next rescue was a 2018 Ford raptor that had got stuck in the sand dunes.
We had to be careful not to do damage to the raptor on the rocks that were near the right side running board.
Unfortunately, we had some camera storage problems and we missed the most important piece of footage. Sorry about that, we are working on the problem.

I drove an 18 wheeler for 12 years, and I find your channel to be good entertainment. I also watch plaza towing, the guy who gets big trucks unstuck and turned back over with the rubber side facing the ground again. I enjoy your channel as much as I do his. Good work and hope you keep making vidoes. That is one amazing Jeep Cherokee and I like what you did to it to make it useful for getting people unstuck. I hope some day I can come viist the area, but I will not be going off road, that's for sure.

i honestly enjoy your lack of "ad lib" and the lack of "if you like this video please "smash" the subscribe button and like" that every video puts out there. You speak when there's something to say otherwise... i enjoy the heck out of just the sounds of the jeep, clanking of hooking up the tow straps and quietness of where you guys are at. So many videos "this.. is a tire, this is a wheel and it's round because...." We have eyeballs! You're doing great and the channel is doing great because of the authenticity and sincerity, so don't ever think you need to "add more" of anything. I like when you add your .02 cents and when it's time to work and for us to simply observe.

Most people don’t know that in a Ford to turn the traction control completely off you have to hold the button for 5 seconds. As well he should have his tires aired down to 10 psi for sand. I’ve taken my 1 ton Ford crew cab long box - stock tire tow rig - out on the dunes a few times( broken toy recovery couple times and once to take a bunch of people to the top for fireworks on the 4th) and I hand no problems at all with tires at 10 psi - including high marking some 500ft tall dunes. People thought I was nuts including my wife.

Most of the really legendary engines are between 3-4L inline 6, the 4.0 in the jeep is no exception! Burns fuel leaks oil but just keeps going 👌 I believe the 4.0 was an AMC product?

Had an old Jeep Grand Cherokee that was much more suited to the rough and deep stuff. Have some fond memories of it driving through snow up to the windows , or being the only vehicle moving on the road in a blizzard. Like how it powered up out the ditch after Lana did the only 720 of my life and put us there. I knew she was going to fast but husbands can’t say that. As it was spinning I was thinking we were going to flip but vehicle stayed smoothly upright. Different story with old Ford Explorer I had- R.I.P..

Ed, it’s ok you don’t ad lib. I like your show fine the way it is and appreciate the moments of peaceful scenery. I watch a few you tube channels where the show is informative and interesting but really just overdone with breathless jabber. Your channel’s just cool while quite interesting, informative in a practical application setting & just plain cool. Keep on
