Barnes is an expensive area and so the cost is justified. Really good vibe in the house and well decorated throughout. It's a big shame they didn't open up the kitchen more with some big bifold sliding doors to let in more natural light leading in to the garden.

The interior is really cool. Stairs are cute. That table looks a little smaller for 8 people. Family meals there would be rather too spicy. The kitchen is really good but way too many plants. Outside is perfect. That double-height atrium is so cool. Matt is a giant. Too much water in the fridge... Overall, really nice house with perfect outdoor space for someone who doesn't have much interest in gardening but wants to have some nice sitting and entertaining outdoor space for friends and family. Mi-lay is correct.

Finishes are excellent and love the form of the house how it creates a courtyard, brilliant, props to the architect! Summer - we love you! Matt - you are incredible as well. Love watching your shows! This is a nice house, but how does it compare to central London? I think as a foreigner it would be great to know what you get for the same amount in a more central location. I’ve been to London many times, but even with that it’s hard to say which area is more desirable. As an example, a few key things we look for is a school district, crime level, family friendliness….just having a beautiful house in a bad neighborhood is not desirable. This is no criticism of your work - you are doing a fantastic job. But as a potential home seeker, I would like more about the area where the property is located. Thank you again for your amazing work!

I made enquires about this property when it was a construction site and I vaguely remember it was priced around £1.5 million at the time... What put me off purchasing was the imminent closure of Hammersmith bridge (which happened prematurely and looks worse than first thought - TFL have stated a probable 3 year closure!), at the time the third runway at Heathrow had the go ahead (now been found illegal) and also the road this property is on is the "cheaper" end of Barnes. Once you do the maths, a £3.5m house in Barnes should generally be near Barnes Green (and would sell easily and quickly if it was), not on Barnes Avenue (Hammersmith end). It's only saving grace is it's v near St Paul's and the Swedish school. The developers have done an outstanding job....but imo this house will struggle to sell for the asking price.

@@amandamore6137 I disagree - there is plenty to talk about from the actualy company which made the kitchen (not just the fact they are German) to the types of glass/glazing used in the windows. As for history you could say what was formerly on the site and what encouraged the developers to go for the U-shaped house. To me it shows that they have done practially zero work into understanding the concept or inspiration of the house. When you are selling houses with these price tags, where you are paying for finish and fittings as well as location and size its all very important.
