Maui Food Tour: Top 5 Restaurants on the Island

Whoa, struck out at Merriman’s huh? We love it there, but do enjoy their Brunch menu slightly more than their Dinner menu. The service and views can’t be beat.

Lahaina Grill is no more as it was a victim of the fire. We were on Maui in March and went back to Merrimans, I agree it’s over rated. Was much better years ago. We like Spago a lot. We go to Maui yearly and have never heard of Nylo. Will have try it when we go back in December

Thank you very much for watching. Yes I was a sad time when Lahaina was also included in the fire. I hope they can rebuild because they got good food. For Merrimans, yes the restaurant in Maui is overrated but the one on the big island is better.

How did that meal come to $1,000?? We LOVE Lahaina Grill and have splurged many times, but never came close to that price tag! Did you order more food than you mentioned? Was this a Prix Fixe menu?

Thanks for watching. Yes at Nylos it is a fix price at 250 / per person. With tax and tip it just made it 1k in total. The meal was really a tasting adventure. You should try it if you are on the island. Yes Lahaina grill was great, ambience and food.

@@jeztravel I meant $1,000 at Lahaina Grill… In the video you said the $1,000 meal was at Lahaina Grill. We’ve been many times, and though it’s pricey (worth it ), we’ve never come close to that amount per person, even when ordering alcohol along with appetizer / dinner / dessert.

@@jeztravel Lahaina grill for sure. I have been to mamas fish house and merrimans last year and my girlfriend and I both enjoyed it. Might try the restaurant at hotel. I hear mixed reviews about that one or might just get drinks at their bar lounge. Going again in May!!

Thanks for watching. I dined at mamas fish house in the past but was not thrilled about it. I wanted to try it this time but I can’t get a reservation even 3 months ahead. Yes Lahaina Grill is fantastical. But the The restaurant was the bomb for us. If you want a dining experience try Nylos. Next time.

Merriman's was hands down one of the best meals and experiences we have had. We enjoyed it so much we dined there twice! Don't know what this guy is talking about with the fish being bland. Not only was the fish flavorful and delicious the scallops were to die for. Lahaina Grill was fantastic as well. So sad that it was lost in the recent devastating fire. Spago was the absolute worst. You want to talk about bland food, this is the place. Highly overrated.

Thank you very much for watching. Our experiences are based on the time of our visit. Unfortunately the food was not great and it was bland. Even my wife and son did not enjoyed their dish as well. You had a different experience and good to know that you enjoyed your dish. But we had a different experience when we dined at Merrimans on the big island.
